Although it's not going to win any awards as an adult feature Debbie Goes To War has a sense of fun about it that should please most fans looking for a good rental or a low budget title that is worth adding to their collection.

Starring newcomer Cindy Crawford (no, not that Cindy Crawford…although this girl is cute too!), Debbie Goes To War tells the tale of an elite group of the U.S. Army called the "Pleasure Corps.", who are exclusively trained for one purpose: to provide some much needed "relief" (you can guess what kind!) to the fighting men (and women, as we'll see in this movie!) of the Armed Forces.

The movie begins with Cindy in bed in a brief softcore segment where she is getting it missionary from her boyfriend. The phone rings and Cindy is called back into duty…and the opening sex scene has her approaching a solider in the field, stripping down and making out with him – giving a whole new meaning to the phrase "we do more before 9AM than most people do all day"!

The rest of the title is a flashback that tells how Cindy got involved in the Pleasure Corps. Watching TV with pals Gen Padova (a cute redhead) and Trent Tesoro, Cindy sees an ad for the Army and decides to sign up. While Cindy heads off for basic training, we get to see Gen and Trent make out in a segment that includes anal for Gen and a nice facial at the conclusion.

Cindy's drill sergeant in basic training is a (somewhat older) redhead named Jackie. We get to see Jackie entertain soldier Marc Cummings in a so-so scene; which is followed by one of the other blondes in basic training – Crystal Ray – getting it on with John West. Both Jackie and Crystal's scenes contain anal action, and while Jackie gets Marc's cumshot on her chest, John unloads his on Crystal's face.

I've always been of the opinion that no straight porn feature should end with a girl/girl scene – but that's the mistake Debbie Goes To War makes here, as Cindy "comforts" solider Holly Stevens, who is also blonde-haired. The nicest part of this lesbian coupling is watching Holly wear a strap-on and give it to Cindy, but almost any all-girl segment at the end of a straight movie is somewhat anti-climatic, and that's what happens here.

While the video on this DVD is surprisingly sharp, the audio is only so-so, with the voice-overs by Cindy in the movie sounding nice and clear, but with the dialogue by the actors sounding really low. The features that this disc provides are almost non-existent, as we only get a chapter selection, a photo gallery and photos of other available titles (but no trailers!).

If you're in a patriotic mood and like the idea of watching a hot blonde "in service" for our great country, you may want to pick up Debbie Goes To War. I'm recommending it…but only as a rental.
