Audio/Video Quality: My First Porn 7 was presented in 1.85: anamorphic widescreen color as shot by director Robby D. for distribution by Digital Playground. The visual elements of the movie were consciously designed to look as they did with a slightly rough look to support the thematic concept of the show (a newbie director trying to make his dream porn against all odds). The flesh tones were accurate, the composition of the shots well done, and all the lighting suited the ladies in their respective scenes. The DVD was mastering allowed for no compression artifacts to be observed and no video noise popped up, completing a very nice visual presentation that worked all around. The audio was presented in a 5.1 Dolby Digital Surround with a minimalist leaning that seemed unique in most ways. Absent was the fancy, and typically lame, porn music many of Robby's peers rely on to mask various audio flaws. There were some repetitive moans and comments used by the gals but they weren't as heat draining as they could have been, something I appreciate being a consideration in Robby's movies.

Body of Review: Robby D. is the porn fan turned director now shooting the majority of titles at Digital Playground (the balance for his own Handheld Pictures, exclusively distributed by the company). His wealth of ideas and supporting staff (primarily Joey and Nick) have been leading the company to buck the industry trends, selling more volumes of the various Jack series he directs all the time. The latest such title is My First Porn 7, the sequel to My First Porn 6, where the idea behind this series is that Jack is actually shooting porn, not beauty contests or scamming gals with music video work, and as a novice director he tries to incorporate all the flaws of modern porn as what he wants to shoot. The humor of the scenes comes in when he runs into the everyday troubles of the industry (flaky gals, language barriers, over done stereotyped settings and concepts, etc.) and the occasional pearl of wisdom by his mentor, Leo Pradnesh (by Harry Bali with a mechanically driven voice over by one of the creative geniuses behind the scenes of the franchise). This time, each of the scenes continued to demonstrate some of the problems that pop up on porn shoots, from the issues of getting locked out of a set, to male talent making an air pop, to a picky guy, to a loser Alt-Boy and a flaking female; all handled with the silly make do attitude a guerilla director like Robby D. is capable of projecting when he's in character. Here's a look at the scenes, noting that

Scene One: Gianna, the busty babe featured on the front DVD cover in the middle, was up first as she surprised scene partner Scott Nails (who was expecting a flat chested gal) with her bountiful bosoms. She tried on a bunch of outfits but none of them fit her so she went outside to do the stills. There was a surprise cameo by creative genius type Nick P. as he apparently took over the filming of the scene (per the ending credits); showing the couple going right into a sloppy hummer and vaginal penetration as she sought to win an award. The performance aspect of the scene was part of the humor involved in the concept with him choking her as she repetitively screamed out generic comments about pounding her pussy. She treated him like a prop and always looked at the camera, dispelling any notion that she was into the action (again, on purpose in a scripted manner) even when they switched to anal. It actually looked different than Robby's style of direction so even if the humor factor wasn't staged, it was interesting to watch (though somewhat over the top, I can see why she has a loyal and rapidly growing following). The ending facial was decent and while I don't think it'll win any awards, the scene showed that Nick might want to take a shot at directing his own flicks from time to time.

Scene Five: Lorena Sanchez, the hotty on the left side of the front DVD cover, played a maid at a house that Jack was going to shot at. When the female talent flaked, Lorena, speaking no English whatsoever, jumped in to take over and make some money by doing a scene with Scott Nails. The speeding through the blathering portions of the dialogue was funny, leading to her slowly losing her clothing as a result. The men pawed her (Robby laying claim to her left titty) before she started sucking his dick like a seasoned professional, working the meat pipe as if she were a virtuoso giving a concert. The oral gave me a boner and I liked her use of Spanish as a change of pace but it was the way she seemed to get into riding his cock vaginally that seemed to really liven up the scene. Summary: My First Porn 7 by Robby D. might not appeal to the same audience as Island Fever 4 but it was a decidedly appealing set of gonzo scenes with solid technical values, a lot of enthusiasm, and the kind of skill the cast has been known for. Thanks in large part to the stroke and replay value (since the extras were on the weak side again), I rated it as Recommended, though fans of the cast will likely find My First Porn 7 a cut above the pack and worth an even higher rating. The comedy elements of the movie were also present, with Nick trying his hand at capturing a scene with the same skill as his partner Robby (succeeding too), so I can safely say that the series is getting better with time, not even needing to rely on some of the contract hotties to elevate the interest factor of the show.
