Extra's: My favorite extra was the 21 minute long Behind the Scenes featurette that gave pretty much the entire cast (and much of the screw) a chance to add some value to the DVD. There was more sex footage than usual here and a lot of anecdotes that raised a smile to my lips. Many of you will prefer the five bonus scenes of Janine's past scenes but they were all lesbian oriented and none of them were made exclusively for this production, weakening their value to me. There were also some trailers, a photogallery, a double sided DVD cover, and some forced spam at the front of the DVD.

Audio/Video Quality: Janine's Been Blackmaled was presented in the usual 1.33:1 ratio full frame color as shot by director Paul Thomas for Vivid Entertainment. The lighting was slightly better than average this time and that helped make the grain and other visual flaws common to Vivid's features look less pronounced. There was some grain, some compression artifacts, and minor flaws but the heat of many of the scenes was such that I overlooked the flaws in favor of seeing the strength of the scenes themselves. Vivid's been working on fixing their flaws of late and while this wasn't in the top ten with regard to the picture quality, it satisfied me more often than not. The stereo English audio track was a bit hollow to me but I thought that the separation and dynamic range were about average for a feature released by the folks at Vivid Entertainment.

Body of Review: Anyone having watched Pirates lately, knows that superstar performer Janine is back in demand like she hasn't been in years. She was perfectly suited to play a pirate queen in large part due to her many tattoos and I'll admit that I've enjoyed her body of work for years while she was a Vivid contract gal. Before she left the company, she made a handful of films that are only now being released and one of the better ones was a little interracial title called Janine's Been Blackmaled. For a gal that hadn't done men onscreen until shortly before this scene was filmed; she did an excellent job tackling the taboo of working with two studly guys, Sean Michaels and Mr. Marcus, but also in scenes with other men of quality. Here's a look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that condoms were used and the action was definitely worth taking a look at:

Scene One: Eve Lawrence, a brunette with large implants and a cute smile, has never been my idea of someone to open a feature porno but director Paul Thomas is known for taking chances and I can't fault him for dropping the ball a lot when he does. She ended up at the top of the staircase where she sat with Chris Cannon, who went down on her with some measure of interest before she returned the favor. What she lacked in talent, she made up for (partially at least) in enthusiasm, letting him give her a titty fuck before stripping for the real action. She was an active rider and he jerked out the load onto her chest, so even if the scene started off slowly, it wasn't bad.

Scene Two: Janine, looking very nice in a black dress, was up next in a bedroom scene with Julian that started off elsewhere as the two worked out some issues. She used her hand to increase the friction of her oral on him, which was a nice way to begin the sex, and he eventually went down on her himself. They screwed vaginally after that and she appeared to be moderately into the action, an improvement over many of her previous scenes at the company. Julian's one of the only guys in porn that can match her square inch for square inch in the tattoo department and fans may appreciate how he turned the tables on her to dominate her (tying her hands, spanking her, pulling her hair, etc.). I liked the scene even if it wasn't the best shot in the movie.

Scene Three: Taylor Knight and Jamie Brooks, both wearing pink outfits and sporting blonde locks of hair, were up next in a living room scene with Vincent. The trio had an okay scene where each of them gave and received oral from the others. They also screwed vaginally but the anal was the highlight by far for me. Jamie dominated the more heated parts of the sex with her dirty talk and sexual skill but the overall scene fell flat for me as all too often they seemed to be mechanically going through the motions. The ending pop shot wasn't much to speak of either so this one won't be on any awards lists this year unless someone gets an awful lot of cash in an envelop.

Scene Four: Cynthia Pendragon, a very curvy gal that I've seen a few times in the past, began the next scene by the hot tub outside in the midday sun. Julian was her partner this time and I'll be the first to admit that I liked her fleshy ass and powerful legs more than her average face. The scene might've been better if he shut up while she blew him and I was appreciative that he clammed up while they screwed. She wasn't a bad ride and having Janine masturbate on the nearby lounge chair sure didn't hurt the scene's appeal to me but I'd rather she joined in to make it a greater threesome. It ended with him jerking off to her ample bosoms and not her face.

Scene Five: Janine, back in a classy dress, finally got to the moment I'd been waiting for; her interracial action with Sean Michaels and Mr. Marcus. Seeing as how she just started doing guys on camera, this really was a long awaited moment for those fans who see black men as anything other than men (race isn't a big factor for me, unlike some people). The initial action took place in a car parked in the driveway of the fancy villa where she sucked both of them off like a seasoned veteran in porn. She then got on the steps to tease the heck out of them with her great ass and breasts, inviting them inside the house as well as her fine pussy. Having heard her describe this scene in the audio commentary track of Pirates in very favorable terms, I thought she had a great time with the two; enough that she didn't mind her makeup smearing or their size that seemed to be a bit larger than she realized as they took turns hammering away at her. It ended when they jerked out their loads to her face but it was her energy throughout the scene that really elevated the worth of the scene for me. Whew!

Scene Six: Janine, in yet another scene (Vivid has been listening to the fans again), was up last with the mighty Evan Stone. They did a lot of oral on each other in bed before moving over by the top of the staircase to vaginally bone. He worked her over as much as the last two did as Julian watched them go at it, adding another layer of complexity to the scene's psychological aspects. Janine started off slowly in terms of doing men but she's come a long way here and I can see why she was picked up as a contract gal even with more than a few years in the industry.

Summary: Janine's Been Blackmaled was worth a rating of Recommended to me for all that it had to offer, not just the single scene between the lovely Janine and the two black studs so well liked in the porn industry. No discussion about the movie would be complete without at least a passing look at another interracial movie she made lately, Mrs. Behavin' for her new contract company Digital Playground and I'll say that the biggest difference to me was that she went without a condom there (followed by the artistic manner it was shot in). Otherwise, Janine gave solid performances in both movies and fans of hers will want to see each of them for the nuances they offered. Janine has proven her critics wrong and reignited the fires with movies like Janine's Been Blackmaled propelling her back into the spotlight once more. I look forward to see what she comes up with next.
