Audio/Video Quality: The picture was presented in 1.85:1 widescreen color, not the usual full frame porno's are known for, but the picture didn't look any better than most other releases. For a movie shot in High Definition 24P Widescreen Format, you'd think the movie would look great but apparently, the company is still working on it. There was a lot of grain and video noise, particularly in the night scenes. The audio was presented in Dolby Digital 2.0 English stereo and there did appear to be some separation between the channels although the vocals varied a lot and the music was usually too loud (way too loud).

Body of Review: Movies made "for couples" remain one of the most elusive of genres in the porn world, primarily because they involve compromises to the basic mindset of the porn-buying audience. Men, for the most part, just want to see hot women doing hot sex tricks and women want to see romantic entanglements (so we're told); the exact opposite of one another. Some hold up movies like Rush, No Limits, or Kiss Me, as what serve as true couples movies but the truth is, couples are as different in their tastes as singles. That means that directors who limit their mindset to providing movies barely hardcore enough that they could almost make it to cable with no cutting are cheating their audience. Such is the case with a little release by Ultimate Pictures known as Lover's Choice (the name went through several changes). The movie centered on a waitress that fell for a man outside her social class that she seeks to make mad monkey love with. The plot was weak and the sex even weaker, particularly since some of the cast have been smoking hot elsewhere. Here's a breakdown of the scenes by cast for those who care:

Scene One: Serena, a cute and lean brunette with light highlights in her hair (a trend I'm told), had a scene with Dale on a stylish chair by a window. They took the act to a big bed but it was very slow paced and the obnoxious music interfered with the heat. The sex itself consisted of oral and straight only, with a lot of MTV style editing to lower the heat to an acceptable level for John Ashcroft. He blew his load onto her face but it wasn't large.

Scene Two: Dominica, a short brunette with an all-natural body, and Cheyne, had a scene by a pool at night. The pacing was again slow but at least this time there appeared to be some chemistry between the performers. Her oral skills seemed well developed and she gave plenty of eye contact to make it hotter. He went down on her too but not for as long and the two of them boned afterwards. It ended when he jerked off onto her abdomen.

Scene Three: Olivia, a major hotty with smoking hot curves, had a scene with Julian in a large bathtub (the kind you find in luxury suites like at the Venetian in Las Vegas). While the loud music still got in the way of the fun, she appeared to appreciate his oral skills as he went down on her and she was no slouch herself in that regard. The two had straight sex in a few positions and he ended it all by giving her a facial.

Scene Four: Natalia and Jesse, both attractive gals in their own way, had a lesbian scene in a room full of flowers. They did the usual licking and rubbing on one another, acting more playful than any of the others in the movie. They used a double-headed dildo to get off together on and the heat was only diminished by the vocals being drowned out from the horrible music.

Scene Five: Natalia, looking ready for love, and Randy, the Dilbert of love, had a scene at the bar at night. She seemed the more creative of the two and each got some oral loving in before the straight sex. It wasn't a bad scene, just limited in how it was approached.

Scene Six: Jesse, looking even better than before, had a scene with Dale, at night in a chair by the pool outside. They went through the paces and did oral with straight until he popped off on her ass. It was sort of romantic but the lighting was too low to appreciate the action much.

Summary: I imagine that there are people who've never seen a porno that will think this is hot stuff but the vast majority of people reading this will have seen far better, even from Vivid Entertainment in the form of a compilation. I'm rating this as a Skip It for anyone wanting good sex with this great cast as it was a let down in many ways, including the blaring music track that snuffed the vocals.
