The Feature:
"Savannah: Up Close and Personal" is another Vivid compilation DVD. If you're unfamiliar with Savannah, read about her in one of my previous reviews. It's "Kleenex Scale" time.

The "Kleenex Scale" is done on a scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being a strong scene, and 1 being a limp one. The main feature consists of 13 chapters with a total running time of around two hours. Here are the scene breakdowns:

Scene #1 – Savannah and her friend dance for us
Both trying to do stripper routines, and there is no sex in this scene whatsoever. This is a porno DVD, right?

Scene #2 – Savannah and a construction worker
Oral for her and a BJ for him. They go into doggy, and then missionary. Kind of short, but sweet.

Video:
The full-frame 1.33:1 presentation varies from scene to scene. Scenes were shot differently, and because they were filmed before her death in 1994, grain and a soft picture can be expected at times. In certain scenes, the soft picture actually adds an element of eroticism, making it feel like a late night Cinemax movie, instead of porno. In some other scenes, the quality is downright awful. There's some dirt and imperfections in certain scenes, but nothing that should hinder your visual enjoyment.

Audio:
A 2.0 soundtrack presents all the cheesy music, moans, bad dialogue, and thrusts that your sound system can handle. I have heard much better from Vivid Video, though. In certain scenes, the audio is more potent than others, and there are audio dropouts at times.

Menus:
Interactive menus filled with clips from the chapters as digitized porn music loops over and over again. Everything is easily accessible.

Extras:
A 'Multi-Angle Mania' feature where we can see a blowjob from four different angles. Also included are "Vivid Girls Do Dicks" and "Anal Extravaganza." The "Dicks" is Cheyenne and a guy. Lots of oral here, plus sex. Pretty good scene here. "Anal" has two scenes. First is a guy and a girl, and you guessed it… Anal sex! Okay scene, as she seemed to be having fun. The next scene is also a guy and a girl. Tons of BJ and oral action here, then sex, and finally the Big A (in different positions). There are additional features including a photo gallery, previews, phone sex commercials, on the set with vivid, and more.

Final Thoughts:
I am continuing to really enjoy Savannah's work. Unlike many of today's "stars", she enjoys what she's doing, and has a certain appeal that makes you like her instantly. Also, she has a nice, soft body free of nasty tattoos and piercings. Unfortunately, the video quality here isn't too impressive. A good buy for a fan of Savannah, otherwise "Rent It."
