Audio/Video Quality: Interracial Icon was presented in anamorphic widescreen color as shot by director Greg Lansky for Blacked.com. Each of the four scenes included a basic set up, oral, vaginal, and of course interracial action. The lighting was solid and the camera largely static in terms of placement, most movement by the camera handled via an edit point rather than try to catch the best angles of action, a single camera seemingly used but handled well enough to make the project looked like a polished title made for DVD rather than the web-to-DVD it was. There was no company watermark on screen at all times, just each scene introduced with one, and the ladies flesh tones looked a little washed out but that might be because the men were so dark skinned by comparison and some of the backgrounds were very light but not accounted for by the crew. The oral components of the scenes were a basic 2.0 Dolby Digital added in post production, no noticed separation between the channels to speak of. Note: There was a technical problem with scene three that kept it from playing through without a hiccup, nothing observed on the disc to explain it and various friends suggesting they had some troubles too, for me amounting to a pronounced layer change, some occasional humming during that scene bugging me too..

Body of Review: Greg Lansky has shown his directorial works at Blacked.com offer something beyond generic gonzo, the director trying for something different than most of his peers. As I catch up on some of works of the past six months, I’ve found shows like Interracial Icon well worth a detailed look others failed to provide, the title particularly interesting to me thanks to Cherie DeVille and Remy LaCroix, Capri Cavanni and Alli Rae also adding something to the mix.
