Audio/Video Quality: Fresh & Easy was a set of five scenes presented in anamorphic widescreen as shot by the uncredited directors of Digital Playground for their DP Flixxx line. The flesh tones were fairly accurate in most cases, even very accurate in others, though the quality of the editing and framing showed a great deal of polishing up needed both during and in post production. The lighting varied substantially by scene but there was no company watermark continuously on the screen during the movie. The aural aspects of the scenes varied as much too, the 2.0 Dolby Digital sound (using AC3 codec, 192 Kbps, 48 kHz) including some good mood music in the scenes that would have been tied to features, less impressive on the stand alone clips, the vocals plain to hear and ambient noises added in as appropriate.

Body of Review: Digital Playground has long been known for their feature movies, erotica outings, and even their virtual sex titles, the company more recently delving into series and unrelated clips as well as compilations. Today’s review is for a newly released set of unrelated scenes from the company’s DP Flixxx line of web scenes, a movie called Fresh & Easy. As with other titles from the web-to-DVD genre of theirs, the results were mixed but given a cast of A-list winners including Cherie DeVille, Megan Rain, Anikka Albrite and Dani Daniels (among others), I was willing to check it out with some pep in my step. Here’s a brief look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used for those still interested:

Scene One: Sleepover Special: Megan Rain, the cute black haired beauty on the right side of the front cover, was up first with popular extreme queen Adriana Chechik, the babe on the left side of the cover, in a scene with Keiran Lee. The ladies portrayed college coeds who stumbled into the house late, only to find Keiran on the couch. It soon became apparent that he was no relation of theirs, only the boyfriend of Megan’s mother, who made a surprise appearance bitching at all three of them when she told the ladies to go to bed and Keiran to remain on the couch. That she had interrupted their increasingly explicit conversation about anal sex was the icing on the proverbial cake, Adriana wanting an experienced guy to pork her pucker as the frisky gal pressured Megan to join in despite repeated protests. The trampy gals started peeling off their attire to slob his knob, the lengthy set up a big change for the company in terms of not just brushing aside the basics, some hand to gland friction and nut nuzzling included as they readied his soon turgid pecker. The picture was grainy and full of slow motion, the two embracing on a bed where she straddled him in her blue jean shorts and white tank top, Toni wearing black pants and a similar shirt before they quickly peeled them off while jumping each other. Eva inhaled his modest member while providing good eye contact with him but it was a markedly slower paced scene than the last one, Toni grabbing her ass as her shorts when down just as her head was going down on his raging erection. Summary: Fresh & Easy by Digital Playground was a stronger set of scenes from the company’s DP Flixxx line, the inclusion of highly rated hotties helping the production to merit a rating of Recommended. Cherie DeVille looked inspirational and lived up to her outstanding scenes elsewhere of late, Adriana Chechik with Megan Rain were strong, Dani Daniels conveyed a lot of conflicting emtions to make her short scene work, and Anikka Albrite was as fresh as ever with her real life hsuband Mick Blue. In short then, when Fresh & Easy initially came my way, I hesitated but found it to be a step in the right direction, each of the five scenes offering something to like and relatively few production quirks bothering me enough to take note so check it out and see what I mean when I say that perhaps there is some life left in the company after all.
