One might think that a film titled "My Hero" and featuring actors such as Evan Stone, Reno, Manuel Ferrara, and Dillion Day would be the ultimate femme porn; one featuring romantic themes and (duh) noble heros.

Well, one would be wrong (Damn! Hate it when that happens). Yet you do still get to see these guys naked and in sex scenes with understandably enthusiastic women, so we must count our blessings.

The film centers around a middleaged gentleman, Mitch, who discusses his desire to be a hero with his chief confidante, a bartender named Jen. Since this is a porno, the bartender (to use strictly technical terms) has breasts out to there and legs up to here.

Mitch tells Jen about an instance in which he tried (and pretty much failed) to perform a heroic deed for girlfriend Eva Angelina.

It seems the two were enjoying a walk one day when they were approached by an uncommonly stunning mugger -- played by Manuel Ferrara -- who promptly makes off with Eva's purse.

This dude is so hot; why does he have to steal for a living? Why doesn't he just do porn? Oh. Never mind. . .

Eva thwarts his mugging attempt by offering him sex in exchange for her purse. As you can imagine, Ladies, this plot point made me cringe; but keep in mind that it is a fantasy and he does not threaten or harm her in any way.

Her companion mysteriously disappears (so much for the hero idea, I guess) while the two have a heated round of intercourse that involves oral exchanges and full penetration.

And despite the rather rough concept behind the scene, Manuel is very gentle and sexually giving with Eva.

Back at the bar, Mitch tells Jen about the unorthodox self-defense course in which Eva apparently learned her 'skilled maneuvers.'

This provides a seque into the next scene, in which Charmane Star is taking the same self-defense course from a dude who has a rather odd method of demonstration; one that involves full-on intercourse with his students.

Aside from making wretched jokes about where attackers most like to 'leave their loads' on their victims, the dude lacks the (ahem) physical presence of other actors in the film.

Let's put it this way; although the guy is a solid actor and I'm sure a nice gent in real life, I easily could have lived out the rest of my life without seeing him naked. Oh the humanity. Close your eyes and think of Evan Stone, Ladies. . .

Oh wait! That is Evan Stone in the next scene. Fates be thanked. He turns in another skilled comic performance here as a rather unseemly character who -- while walking through a park at nightfall -- accidentally collides with a woman riding a bicycle.

After nearly running over Evan's character, Jenaveve Jolie 'comforts' him on and around a park bench -- and he reciprocates in a scene that turns out to be very passionate, with a high quotient of forbidden naughtiness.

As the scene closes, we once again return to the bar -- where Mitch vows to the bartender that he someday will be a hero.

We then fast-forward to 'someday' (or so a subtitle helpfully informs us -- cute touch), when Mitch gets a phonecall from someone who is apparently holding his friend Jen for ransom.

This is it; his big chance to prove himself. Can he rise to the challenge? Can he become a hero?

I was pondering this plot point until the next scene opened and Reno appeared. Then all semblance of coherent thought promptly left the building.

I first saw Reno, a tall, muscular gent with long blond hair, in a 'solo performance' on PlaygirlTV. Aside from wowing me with his perfect physique, ruggedly handsome face, and skilled techniques, he openly declared himself a 'slut' and a 'manwhore.' That's what we like, Sir!

But I digress. In Reno's scene, he and Michelle B. are having sex in the very public bathroom where our hero is supposed to leave Jen's ransom. While he tries to gain entrance into the room, Reno gains entrance easily into Michelle. The couple have a round of very passionate, down'n'dirty sex that challenges and showcases both their perfect physiques.

As the scene ends, the question remains; can this man save his friend and become a hero?
I won't give away the ending, which is quite clever and ironic for a film of this genre. I will say that, although "My Hero" was not the romantic erotica I had hoped it would be, it was a good-humored tale with sizzling sex scenes and an attractive cast. I recommend it.
