Extras: The best extra was the 36:08 minute long Behind the Scenes feature by Chanel where most of the cast were given some chance to shine, a lot of commentary from the makeup chair limiting replay value with Chris shooting it. There was also a photogallery and some trailers.

Audio/Video Quality: Too Pretty For Porn was presented in anamorphic widescreen as credited to director Chanel Preston for James Deen Productions. The cinematography was credited to Hank Hoffman, Matt Holder and Eli Cross (though only Eli was displayed working a camera in the BTS footage that I saw), Danny Wylde handling editing and other post production chores. The flesh tones were accurate in a couple of scenes, the lighting varied according to the mood Chanel wanted to set, and the framing all combined to make this a decent looking title though, the bulk of compression artifacts observed when viewing it on a big screen television. AJ’s scene was shot completely in black and white while the lesbian scene was shot with almost no light, giving each scene a distinctive “look” to say the least. The 2.0 stereo audio provided sounded like a monaural experience even when I plugged in my headphones though, no distinctive separation of channels and the music mixed in aggressively to fairly weak vocals.

Body of Review: Chanel Preston is a popular porn performer who has begun to dabble in directing of late for James Deen Productions, her latest release a title called Too Pretty For Porn. I can’t lie to you, my belief has long been there is no such thing, the most physically attractive ladies in porn usually given a lot more latitude for being lousy performers as they rely heavily on looks alone so very often. I said as much when another company started a series by the same name over ten years ago, the dynamic not changing a whole lot since, the field of pretty ladies full of contract stars back then that did very little to earn their keep, most of them unable to compete against the hardcore hotties populating the industry now. That said, the show starred ladies including Chanel, AJ Applegate, Aria Alexander, Nikki Darling, and Alexa Tomas working with whatever guys could be found on the days the scenes were shot (apparently, it was a busy production day), the ladies meriting a nod from me as generally pretty enough to do porn even if some were much more skilled than others.

My favorites here were easily AJ Applegate and Chanel Preston but Nikki Darling, Aria Alexander, and Alexa Tomas were not bad either, the mopes a varied lot as well. In short, Too Pretty For Porn is probably best suited for couples and those new to porn that will have less to compare it with, the movie’s scenes on the bland side so check it out and let me know what you think of it.
