Extras: The separate extras included a cast list, a company promotional trailer, a photogallery, some websites, and trailers. Unlike most companies, Aiden adds the behind the scenes footage into the movie itself (which boosts running time though it means repeated viewings tend to force one to skip that material). For the most part, the BTS showed the chemistry of the cast as they chatted, enjoyed each other’s presence, and showed a ton of nudity but it added to the value of the show for me regardless of the placement.

Audio/Video Quality: Aiden Riley’s Snail Trails was presented in the usual 1.78:1 anamorphic widescreen color as shot by director Aiden Riley for Evil Angel. The camera work seemed to rely on a single camera shooting the trysts in basic settings, be they a white room with no distractions or contemporary living room (especially for the BTS material included). The lighting was not bad as a result but the resolution of the camera was well below what I am used to elsewhere, the raw energy captured well enough either way. The camera angles were a mixed batch and the relative lack of editing an interesting approach, a company watermark located on the lower right corner for those keeping track. In any case, the audio was presented in a similar fashion with a 2.0 Dolby Digital English offering that sounded hollow with no separation between the channels and no music to bore you with. Still, it was similar to most gonzo titles out at this time, the sonic portion less important to most fans than the visuals.

Body of Review: Aiden Riley is often considered a behind the scenes guy at Evil Angel, but these days the man has taken over production of their movies earning him full cover credits. His latest sent for review is called Aiden Riley’s Snail Trails, a decidedly different kind of lesbian outing that expands on some themes from earlier shows, your mileage may vary as to how hot the acts are. The double disc set is a series of four lengthy lesbian scenes showcasing women who enjoy oral (giving and getting) but also using some slimy lubricant to diddle and otherwise slime each other with, this type of thing done previously on a smaller scale. There were some toys this time and the four primary scenes had some passionate moments, fans of hardcore lesbian action sure to appreciate this. For me, the stand out scenes were Chastity Lynn doing Kristina Rose and Chanel Preston with Dana DeArmond but all four scenes included the same basic type of thing so you might either like it completely or not, it will depend on what you like to see.

Scene One: Chastity Lynn, the light haired booty queen seen on the right side of the front cover, and her mentor, brunette Kristina Rose, pictured pawing her ample ass, were up first in the white room in colorful lingerie as they caressed and otherwise teased one another. Kristina was in a sheer purple bikini and Chastity was in a pink leotard, both ladies rubbing themselves to orgasms and kissing. They had lots of chemistry together and the ladies gobbled gash, rimmed ass, and fingered to get off before the titular lube was inserted to provide a lot of gooey snail trail fun. Of the two, Chastity proved to be more flexible though this is exactly the type of show I associate with Kristina, a gal without any hesitations on what gets her freak on. The sexual tryst ended at about the hour mark, leading into lengthy BTS which started with Kristina not showing much care about the AVN awards (unless she wins something, she leaves according to her own words; the gal well known for her freedom of verbal expression).

Scene Two: Cassandra Nix and Maddy O’Reilly, a very sensual duo of lean young newcomers to porn (relatively speaking mind you), were up next in the white room as they kissed and held each other. They both wore bikini undies and probed any spot they felt like, the slow pace of the scene a lot different than the last one. They ate box and spent a lot of time just physically getting to know one another, the large basters filled with goo to start the snail trail dynamic coming across as unneeded to me given their physical appeal, strings of the substance trailing all over each other as they liberally applied it wherever they saw fit. That they also put copious amounts of it in their mouths was disgusting but they did give me the impression they were into this more than the usual splooge or ball batter, the strength of the scene not as solid as the last one though they could have slimed me and I would not have called Ghostbusters on them. Their BTS was nearly an hour too, longer than their actual scene for those keeping track.

Scene Three: Chanel Preston, a multi-award winning hotty with awesome curves, and gonzo extreme queen extraordinaire Dana DeArmond, were up next as the first scene on the second disc. They began by wearing sexy lingerie next to each other in the white room, Chanel looking like she had very little makeup on her face. Dana quickly started digging for clams on her friend and savored the experience, her senses alive as she smelled Chanel, licking the wet spot on her panties and getting some head in return too. Chanel pulled out the baster and filled it with lube, the messy junk being applied liberally to Dana’s ass crack and snatch, the gal licking it up off the floor to continue their embrace. Summary: Aiden Riley’s Snail Trails by Aiden Riley for Evil Angel was fun to watch, the strokability and replay value enhanced by the amounts of chemistry in the scenes and the substantial body of BTS footage serving as the primary extra so it earned a rating of Recommended, the primary kink being the use of sloppy amounts of lubricant in and around the ladies, the concept of a snail trail not lost on a guy who favored them (though the trail was comprised of a woman’s natural secretions back in my day) when Aiden was still a whelp. This was a back to basics approach, the raw energy and passion of the performers again trumping the technical matters handled by Aiden, the man credited more readily for his role in making Belladonna’s movies of late with cover credit. In short, Aiden Riley’s Snail Trails was not a full service type of gonzo and the lesbian action was not marred by an abundance of toys in most cases, the resulting sexual trysts able to stand the test of time better by relying on the aspects so few in porn seem to offer so give this one a chance to end up in your collections if you appreciate fine ass play and lesbian antics.
