Audio/Video Quality: Slutty & Sluttier 17 was presented in the same 1.78:1 ratio anamorphic widescreen the scenes were originally shot in by director Manuel Ferrara for Evil Angel. The quality of the visuals varied a bit here but Manuel focused less on the technical matters instead of maintaining the usual sexual energy and chemistry. The lighting was decent and that eliminated most of the problems associated with gonzo productions, Manuel's works virtually always a few notches above the competition from what I've seen over the years. The editing was decent, if a little rushed, and the minor quirks on the technical side did not deter me from enjoying the scenes most of the time. Be forewarned though that there appeared to be a substantial layer change issue during the third scene, my need for technical assistance over the mastering issue the only real hindrance from what was otherwise a very strong contender for all sorts of awards. The bitrate was all over the charts here with much of the footage coming in around the 3.4 Mbps range but there were not a lot of compression artifacts present that I could see. The audio was offered up in 2.0 Dolby Digital English using 192 Kbps bitrate and 48 kHz sampling rate but there was no separation noticed that I could figure out, and the dynamic range was pretty limited too; the scenes coming from quickly shot gonzo; the guerilla shooting style favored by pornographers everywhere.

Body of Review: Manuel Ferrara is one of the most sought after performers in the industry, his directorial efforts at Evil Angel showing that he makes wise choices behind the camera as well as in front of it. His latest release making it my way for review is called Slutty & Sluttier 17, the series long established as a favorite (to the point where other reviewers have had the previous two volumes) for showcasing some of the best top notch talent available. This time, premium pussy like Chanel Preston and London Keyes are joined by Dana Vespoli (who, in her comeback to porn has stuck with lesbian scenes and directing until now), smoking hot Veronica Avluv, and cutie Maddy O’Reilly (as seen featured on the front cover). Going in, I suspected this would be a solid bout of boning, the DVD coming out later this week. Here’s a brief look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used for those still interested:

Scene Four: London Keyes, the curvy Asian babe seen on the far left side of the cover in black stockings, was up last but she was hardly least given the looks and sexual skill she brought to the movie by working with favored partner Manuel Ferrara. She teased in silhouette form in front of a glass door, the eroticism not lost on this jaded old porn hound as she seductively licked her lips. Given that London had about 40 minutes of time to really shine, her lean naked form on the stairs wearing only fishnet stockings before climbing onto the black couch for some slutty ass play as she looked at the camera sure helping me enjoy this one too. Summary: Slutty & Sluttier 17 by director Manuel Ferrara for Evil Angel had almost three hours of footage, the director offering the kind of passion & chemistry fans expect so I rated it as Highly Recommended or better. My only concern was a pronounced layer change during the third scene, my need for technical assistance to get it to work on any of my players enough to lower the grade here (each scene was classic!) from an Xcritic Pick. Manuel is pretty decent as a director in the gonzo realm but his biggest strength will probably always be his own sexual abilities and chemistry with the ladies, all three of his scenes worthy of his status and Dana Vespoli cranking up the third scene (with Maddy and Steve) well beyond expectations. In short, Slutty & Sluttier 17 was only a single disc release but well worth your time, money, and seed if you want some of the best sexual trysts available containing hotties like London Keyes, Chanel Preston, Dana Vespoli, Veronica Avluv, or Maddy O’Reilly. If the last two volumes were as good as this (others reviewed them so I can’t say for sure), the series should be up for more awards in the upcoming season so give this one a look because it was definitely a keeper!
