Extras: The first disc had a cum shot reel from the scenes and an iPod version of the movie. The second disc had a 25:28 minute long non-sex version of the movie (and an iPod version without sex too), a Katie Summers solo scene as the New Black Canary lasting 7:48 minutes (actually less but that was when it timed out), four photogalleries, and a fun, 71:39 minute long Behind the Scenes feature. Audio/Video Quality: Birds of Prey XXX was presented in 1.78:1 anamorphic widescreen as shot by director Sinister X for Sinister Comixxx. There was cinematography by Paul Woodcrest, editing by Tom Byron & Lynkoln Townekkarr, lighting by Marco Guacamole, makeup by Claudia Rivas, and visual effects by Plixar; each contributing to the overall quality of the project. The lighting tended to be on the dark side at times, thematically appropriate given the characters involved, and each scene (feature or sex) showed some care to tie the elements to the big picture. The bitrate varied a lot but care was taken to showcase the ladies and their costumed exploits, making it an entertaining show on technical levels too. The audio was presented in 2.0 Dolby Digital with music by Tom Byron, Winston Wolf, and Foley Artist while the overall sound was handled by Freddy Fingers. I liked the moody score and sound effects while the vocals were plain enough to hear.

Body of Review: Sinister X is one of the driving forces in the superhero porn parody genre thanks to his work at Sinister Comixxx. His better movies put most of his peers to shame and the upcoming Birds of Prey XXX: A Sinister Comixxx Parodyis already prepared to further establish his street credentials in the field. The mainstream version was a half season television airing ten years ago (the complete series set is available at WalMart for around $12), the series based on an on again, off again comic book series from DC Comics that stars secondary tier women as crime fighting crusaders for justice that are better known for pushing the vigilante angle than the golden age of “heroes never go too far” aspects I grew up with. The lead characters of this pornified version are Brooklyn Lee as Oracle (a disabled Batgirl), Kagney Linn Karter as Black Canary, and Gracie Glam as Huntress; the idea that a comic centering on female leads being easier to convert to porn being a no-brainer as far as I’m concerned. On the villain side of the equation was Chanel Preston, Alexis Texas, and Lizzy Borden; none of the heroines going at it sexually with the villainesses but still providing a wealth of strokable material for the scores of fanboys that have seen the trailers. The company described the movie like this: “Gotham is in danger, and the Birds of Prey are on the scene to save the day. The debut parody from award winning, Hall of Fame director Sinister X's new Sinister Comixxx line, Birds of Prey XXX, a Sinister Comixxx Parody puts the girls first, followed by hot action. Scene One: Brooklyn “Oracle” Lee, the wheelchair bound character seen on the left side of the cover, was up first with Tommy Gunn, their jaded approach leading to a bedroom tryst where she was not allowed to be as actively riding as usual. Her skimpy dress revealed glimpses of her all natural body, the pair kissing while a light musical score played in the background. He lowered her on the bed where they continued, her titties targeted for some oral attention before he fingered her snatch, Brooklyn slobbing his knob deftly using hand to gland combat and her mouth. Tommy then briefly gobbled her gash and then started pounding it as she rubbed herself, their elevated respiration rate indicative of them getting into the action. Scene Three: Gracie “Huntress” Glam, the attractive young lady seen on the upper middle of the front cover, was up next with Tom Byron, the dark scene stemming out of their needs rather than mutual chemistry. With the escape of Ghul, the tension was evident, the couple spontaneously pawing each other before she aggressively slobbed his knob. While she stayed in costume initially, she slowly came out of it while throating him and showcasing her fantastic oral skills. As the curvy blond featured on the lower center of the front cover, I expected a lot from Kagney; thankfully, she delivered. Chanel’s blond wig again proved a bit of a distraction but the camera did not dwell on her head by any means with such a great ass and rack to highlight. Disc 2 extras

Scene Six: Kagney Linn Karter, Brooklyn Lee, and Gracie Glam, were up last in the obligatory lesbian triangle having defeated their foes for the time being. There were some insider comments and visuals (in the original source material, The Joker had caused Oracle’s dilemma, Lizzy behind bars) but the ladies going at one another was a great payoff for the patient viewer, Gracie and Kagney sucking Brooklyn’s tits before eating her pussy and ass. The scene again showed each of them rotating as a focal point of the sexual antics, a lot of fingering and oral provided with some taste testing and kisses. Those into wheelchair bound babes will appreciate that Brooklyn stayed in character most of the time, all three of them actively participating with ample energy & passion to give this one some serious replay value.

Summary: Birds of Prey XXX by director Sinister X for Sinister Comixxx was another winner from the company, combining enough elements of the original source material with the usual sexual exploits to provide a wider audience replay value and strokability needed to merit a rating of Highly Recommended. I did not get a copy of the forthcoming three disc collector box and will update my review when it comes in but even as presented, the heated trysts were quite inspirational and the liberties taken to make this work as a porno were modest compared to some of the generally lame genre releases of late. Curvy babes Alexis Texas, Kagney Linn Karter, and Chanel Preston stood out as particularly hot but Gracie Glam proved up for the darker aspects of the role and Brooklyn Lee sure gave up some fine eye candy in her two scenes as well. So if you’re looking for a costumed caper with just enough cheese to suit the comic book lovers and more than enough fuck for the buck, Birds of Prey XXX: A Sinister Comixxx Parody might be just what you’re looking for given the overall strengths it provided. Around award time, it certainly upped the ante a few notches so don’t be surprised if this one reaps in some accolades from the rest of the pack when it comes out later this month, the title a declared winner as far as this reviewer is concerned.

The lengthy Behind the Scenes feature was appreciated
