Extra's: The best extra was clearly the 17 minutes of extra sex provided. While not enough to make up for the relative lack of length of the main movie (at least compared to other titles released by Evil Angel that often last three or more hours), it's always good to see more action that would've otherwise been locked in a vault somewhere, never to be seen again. There was also a lengthy photogallery, a popshot recap, limited filmographies of some of the gals, a biography for John Leslie, and trailers to movies like Naomi: There's Only One, Crack Her Jack, Fresh Meat 21, The Voyeur 31.

Audio/Video Quality: Fresh Meat 22: Ass Loaded! was presented in the usual 1.33:1 ratio full frame color as shot by director John Leslie for distribution by Evil Angel. As noted previously, John has long since surpassed the desire to show crystal clear visuals, preferring to focus his efforts on the kind of raw energy and rougher edged look that most of his peers only seem to fall into by mistake, though I'll be the first to admit I'd like his movies to revert back to a more traditional & well lit approach if at all possible. The levels of grain, video noise, and even pattern effects were okay this time and the action lost nothing due to minor flaws on the technical side (the movie was still hot). The composition of the camera angles showed some care put into them, making the ladies virtually always look their best, and this is the strength of John's directorial ability more than anything else (as a producer, he also tends to make fine selections of cast). The 2.0 Dolby Digital audio track was as basic as gonzo porn came be, with limited talking going on outside of John's own directions in the background. The cast could be heard moaning & groaning but this was definitely a limited selection based on audio quality.

Body of Review: John Leslie has been around porn in one capacity or another for decades and as a result, he often provides a different kind of gonzo action for fans to enjoy. While some might argue that his old school style of gonzo is outdated or boring, I'd counter that his works at Evil Angel show that he provides a certain look that has consistently worked for many of us old timers, and a willingness to try visually interesting approaches instead of cookie cutter porn. That doesn't mean it always works out as a great stroke flick but at least he experiments with new things. His latest release is Fresh Meat 22: Ass Loaded!, the thematic sequel to Fresh Meat 21. The majority of scenes were shot overseas by the look of them and the choice of ladies was sometimes a bit iffy in terms of generating heat but fans of John's works will undoubtedly find it more appealing than I did, thanks in part to their reliance on his approach over more technically adept directors. If you're still interested, here's a quick look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used:

Scene One: Shara James/Sarah James, the hotty featured on the lower left hand corner of the front cover, was up first in a house wearing her red shorts and matching tube top in the bathroom. This footage was edited into a bit with her being interviewed by Steve Holmes, Greg Centauro, and David Perry, while wearing a slinky black dress but each portion provided some nice tease footage to enjoy of her. The flashback approach has never impressed me as creative, inventive, or particularly useful but it wasn't poorly done here and getting to see more of her before her sexual antics was a good idea. When it came time to engage her three horny friends, they were all over her until she started slobbing their knobs. That led to them penetrating her pussy and ass in various positions, even making her airtight as the three men porked her mouth, pussy, and ass at the same time. She was an active rider for only a few short moments since the dynamic of the scene did not allow for her to have much maneuvering room and the scene ended when they rubbed out loads to her face. It wasn't a remarkable start to the movie to say the least but even though she wasn't "fresh meat" (having been in numerous scenes under various aliases in the past), she was an attractive women having some fun performing for the audience's amusement.

Scene Two: Nora Davis and Louise Black, a couple of lean brunettes finding different ways to exercise, were up next with cut Matt Bird. He initially enjoyed sex with one of them on the public ledge outside of the flat, getting a hummer with all the trimmings as the other gal rode the stationary bike inside and envied the action. They screwed a bit and went inside on the bed right in front of the second gal, speeding up her joining them in her tiny red outfit that hugged her precious curves so well. Both gals got some oral and penetrative sex in, with all three holes of both gals getting a work out. There was a lot of taste testing going on and the lesbian aspect of the scene should not be over estimated but as active as the gals were at riding cock, it struck me that they were doing so mechanically (as though performing acts they'd done for pay hundreds, if not thousands, of times in the past). Still, it ended with each getting a facial and while it wasn't the best work I've seen by the director in the past, the frequent motion of the camera gave it all a quaint look; almost like his Voyeur series.

Scene Three: Destiny, the gal on the upper left hand corner of the front cover with the ripe, full ass, was up next in a scene with James Brossman and Greg Centauro. She was hanging out at the indoor pool in her red bikini, looking quite fetching by the way, when the guys stopped playing with each other and focused their attentions on her (Greg going first). She took both of them on, sucking off Greg while face sitting on the James and jerking him off. She was an active cock rider during the vaginal sex but only a passive gal during the anal, skipping a DP altogether. The scene wasn't bad but even ending with the two facials and her aggressive oral talents, it seemed lacking compared to some of her other work.

Scene Four: Linda, the gal on the lower right hand corner of the front cover (squatting over a cock), and Fathima, were up next with David Perry. One of them took an early lead in sucking him off (the one with the huge shit-stain birthmark on her ass; I believe she was Linda) and she was a talented fellatrix to say the least. The scene included the most active riding of the movie to this point, both in vaginal and anal action at that. Neither gal was particularly stunning in terms of facial beauty but the curves were kicking and I'd have done either of them in a pinch. Fatima joined them well into the scene to provide a more youthful appeal to the scene, Linda being the older looking of the ladies. The sexual antics were kind of generic at times, with neither gal speaking much and both going through the motions more often than I prefer to see. Still, I thought they were enjoying themselves as often as not, so while the scene was merely worth a look, it wasn't terrible. The ending facial action showed David must be working a whole lot too, hardly popping much of a load at all into Linda's mouth.

Scene Five: Cassie Courtland, a sexy blonde wearing a satin purple bikini lingerie outfit and flowing robe that matched, was up last on the couch with studly Erik Everhard. He was reading the paper and not paying her any attention at all when she started using sex toys to masturbate with. This got his attention and he jumped in to help her get off, initially by having her slob his knob by the couch. Once fully erect, he went to work on her orally, moving into position to bone her the way she apparently enjoyed. She looked great taking his heated rod inside of her cookie, surprising me that she didn't do anal with him after all that warming up but it was a decent ending to an otherwise mediocre fuck flick, the use of light serving to show her a bit better than the wall of lights I prefer to see most of the time. The pop shot went to her mouth with some landing on her face, with Erik serving her up a generous load of population pudding to close out the action.

Summary: Fresh Meat 22: Ass Loaded! by director John Leslie for distribution by Evil Angel was only worth a rating of Rent It to me since the technical limitations were piled on by the lack of true heat generated by the cast of (mostly) European ladies that went through the motions far too readily for my tastes. The theme of the series is to provide gals new to porn and some of these ladies have been in scores of fuck flicks in the past under various names, so even that aspect of the movie was limited. There was enough to like to check it out a time or two but in the end, Fresh Meat 22: Ass Loaded! offered a lot less fuck for the buck than many recent titles by the company and the quality of those fucks wasn't on the high end either.
