The Movie:

Victoria Paris plays Mary, a top-notch executive who makes the big bucks working in the entertainment industry, wheeling and dealing on behalf of her many clients. The latest find to come aboard Mary's roster of talent is Marshall Soloman, who happens to be the author of some very popular erotic novels.

Their relationship begins as one that could easily be classified as strictly business but soon it starts to evolve as the author's books start to come to life with Mary in many of the lead roles and thus begins, The Seduction Of Mary.

Chapter 1 – Cassidy And Mike Horner: Mike starts things off by having Cassidy strip for him. The sex is rather pedestrian but some of the themes of public intercourse and light BDSM might appeal to some, despite the fact that the results are average during the best of times and below average for the bulk of the film.

One thing that the movie does have working in its favor is some very good cinematography and some great locations. The mansions that a lot of the sex scenes take place in give the movie a reasonably believable feeling of elegance and the production values are pretty decent in the film. The story had potential, and the girls in the cast are nice to look at, but sadly the chemistry that you really need for a good fuck film eludes this one.

The DVD

Video:

This fullframe transfer is pretty unimpressive. It's blurry, soft, and seriously lacking in color. The framing on the 1.33.1 image looks okay, but there's next to no fine detail present and the skin tones look a little sickly. Mpeg compression artifacts are present throughout and it looks very much like this was sourced from an old VHS tape. The movie is watchable, but certainly no more than that.

Sound:

The English language Dolby Digital 2.0 soundtrack has little to no channel separation and slightly muffled dialogue. The background music sounds okay but there's no real punch to anything and this is a very poorly defined mix with a lot of the ambient noise and dialogue getting a little lost in the murkiness of it all.

Extras:

Aside from a weblink and a phone sex advertisement, there are trailers for Peepers, Ritual and Still Insatiable (featuring Marilyn Chambers doing vocals on the theme song!), as well as s still gallery of hardcore still taken on the set of the film while it was shooting.

Final Thoughts:

The Seduction Of Mary is worth a look for big Victoria Paris fans, but sadly the presentation on this DVD is sorely lacking. The audio and video are sub par even for an older catalogue release and there aren't any substantial extras to add any value to a disappointing package. Skip it.
