Audio/Video Quality: The picture was presented in the typical 1.33:1 ratio full frame color that is currently the industry standard. For the most part, there wasn't much grain or compression artifacts and the colors were accurate but the camera work stunk and the heat was lowered because of it. The audio was originally shot in monaural English but was remastered (i.e.: through on the DVD) in 5.1 surround stereo English with no separation between the channels. It sounded somewhat hollow with music that wasn't mixed properly with the vocal track (not to mention it was also cheesy music).
Body of Review: One of the best porn production companies on the market these days is Digital Playground. The company is responsible for such hits as Beat The Devil and No Limits, and many others, so when they release a new title, people sit up and take notice. That said, they also have access to the back catalog of Erotic Angel, a company known for having a lot of crappy titles. One such title is the recently re-released Runway, a story about the fashion industry and models who are blackmailed into providing sexual favors to clients. Like most low budget features made in the mid to late 90's, this one was really bad with limited heat and technical values. If you're a fan of the performers though, you might want to check this one out regardless of what I tell you. If that's the case, read my short breakdown of the scenes by cast:
Scene One: Johnni, Yvonne, and Nicole had a threesome lesbian scene on a bed. It had a lot of licking and use of vibrators but only Johnni showed any real passion here. The others seemed to want to finish it all up as soon as possible. The music was distracting too and the scene was only okay.
Scene Two: Johnni, a curvy blonde with ample curves, took care of Michael while Artie talked her up a bit. I think Michael was into the scene a lot more than she was but she did try to give us our money's worth by talking the other two up quite a bit. The sex was oral and straight only on a couch. Not great but not terrible either.
Scene Three: Nicole, fresh off her scene from the beginning of the movie, and Michael Hurt had a scene in the dressing room after he took off a piece of woman's lingerie. Her oral talents were certainly solid with her great eye contact and long lingering licking but the rest of the scene quickly fell apart in terms of heated antics and much of the time it just seemed weak.
Scene Four: Morgan, wearing a brunette wig and having an interesting face, had a solo scene in a bathtub. She jerked herself off but the camera was spending too much time on extreme close-ups and not enough time on the medium shots that put it in perspective. In short, the technical flaws were worse than the look of the performer (and in this case, that says a lot). Pass.
Scene Five: Farrah, the supposed lead of the feature and an attractive blonde (in a porno sort of way), had a scene with Morgan in an office. The sex included mostly oral but some toy use too. Farrah took a large dildo up her ass but again, the scene was lacking on all levels.
Summary: I've seen Johnni in a number of movies over the years and think she was a solid performer and Farrah had the look that men wanted to know better but the others were really low-end in terms of attractiveness. If you're a fan of one, consider that maybe the technical values were not up to par or that they had an off day but even the two I generally like were not in top form. The sex was okay at times but never really heated and with the typical porno acting going on, the story part of this one really dragged on (and on and on and on) whereas a better directing job would've either minimized the story for better sex or included more tease rather than let the performers embarrass themselves like this. I'm suggesting the majority of the population to Skip It but as I said earlier, true fans of the gals may want to take a peek.
