Audio/Video Quality: Anal POV Style 1 was presented in a solid anamorphic widescreen as shot by director Mick Blue for Hard X in point of view (POV) fashion. While some directors are really good at simulating POV involving other performers and others are acknowledged experts in shooting themselves, Mick is sort of a jack of all trades type that does a pretty solid job in anything he tries to shoot. No one is going to confuse his POV work with the likes of Mike John or Tim Von Swine but I dare say he is superior to many of the wannabe types that shoot regularly for the smaller companies too. In these scenes, he provides some good camera work with solid lighting, nice flesh tones, and framing of the action that worked well with him and the cast. There was no company watermark bothering me and while there were some occasional compression artifacts, they were well within expected limits. Likewise, the aural components of the production appeared to be caught using the built in microphone but I could hear most of the whispers and comments from the performers, the music was blended in during post production well enough, and like the sometimes choppy video editing, it merited a general nod despite a few minor issues arising.

Body of Review: Mick Blue is the latest director to join Hard X, his work (credited and not) for all sorts of companies over the years garnering a lot of favorable attention on both sides of the camera. His first production for the company is called Anal POV Style 1, a set of four anal scenes shot in POV fashion with Mick as the only male. The casting of youthful babes such as Aidra Fox in her first on camera anal, cutie Jodi Taylor, delicious Casey Calvert, and ever popular Vicki Chase helped make this a winner coming out of the gate, Mick admittedly not on my short list for POV greats. All the ladies did anal to varying degrees and the lighting was solid, the footage shot in the requisite point of view camera angle to please the purists among you. The back cover described the movie like this: “Award winning Best New Studio, Hard X, proudly presents "Anal POV Style," featuring four gorgeous starlets in intense and passionate point of view anal sex scenes. Starring beautiful newbie, Aidra Fox in her very 1st anal scene, alongside Casey Calvert, Jodi Taylor, and Vicki Chase. The movie is shot in 1080p HD and directed by Mick Blue in his first directorial outing for the Hard X brand.”

While I haven’t seen her working for any of the bigger gonzo companies, she had done a decent job in some of the vignettes I’ve watched her in, her body style of the limited type that Hard X generally uses in all their works. She pushed her ass up a bit to tease him but remained lounged on her chair at first, a jeweled anal plug stuffed inside her precious pucker remaining there as he oiled her up and had her bounce around. Summary: Anal POV Style 1 by director Mick Blue for Hard X might not have been as consistently “intense and passionate” as the back cover claimed but the POV was shot capably, the ladies were attractive and anally receptive, and there was enough energy to merit a very respectable rating of Recommended. If you are a fan of the quartet of ladies, you should consider this a “must have” title for your collection and frankly, each of them has their own appeal worthy of praise, Casey Calvert and Jodi Taylor among a few of my favorite gals, Vicki Chase earning every bit of praise coming her way, and Aidra Fox sure to improve her anal game with more practice. In short then, Anal POV Style was a set of straightforward anal scenes shot in POV fashion, the poolside tease appreciated if on the short side and the oil added in appealing to me too so check it out.
