Extras: The first extra was a 1:24 minute long “alternate ending” that was interesting to me, putting the story in somewhat different light. This was followed by 7:20 minutes of outtakes; brief clips showing the cast goofing up. The other extras included a 12:28 minute long Behind the Scenes feature, a “pick your pleasure” menu, a photogallery, trailers, spam, and some company information.

Audio/Video Quality: Second Chances was presented in a crisp, anamorphic widescreen as shot by directors Jacky St. James & Eddie Powell for New Sensations. Eddie was also the director of photography and worked cameras alongside Paul Woodcrest, Gabrielle Anex working her magic on the editing as usual to polish up the visual elements. I did see the occasion slip like a boom mike hanging down or a crew member’s reflection but frankly, the movie looked really good in all meaningful ways. There was a company watermark on the lower right hand corner of the screen for those who care. The aural components in 2.0 Dolby Digital were satisfying too, the music, vocals, and ambient sounds all blended into the production nicely. As with the visual aspects of the movie, the audio portion showed significant attention, Paul Van Dik credited with sound recording. I liked the musical pieces this time too but they were not specifically credited.

Body of Review: Jacky St. James & Eddie Powell are popular directors at New Sensations, as a team they are near unstoppable in terms of coming up with wonderful vignettes and features. Their latest release is called Second Chances, a story about a college woman whose traumatic freshman year results in her growing stronger to help others, finding herself as she reclaims her dignity from a horrid wretch. Of special note here was the overall fine acting by the entire cast, lead Carter Cruise proving yet again she is more than a scorching hot fuck bunny right before awards season begins. The back cover said this about the feature: “During her Freshman year of college, Madison Presley thought she'd met the love of her life when she starting dating handsome football player, Josh Rochette. That is, until she found herself the butt of a giant fraternity joke that he had carefully orchestrated behind her back. Devastated by his betrayal, Madison spends the next three years trying to move past her heartbreak with the help of her unfailingly loyal friend, Dean and wisecracking roommates, Olivia and Lucas. But, when Josh unexpectedly comes back into her life during her senior year - Madison's world is thrown into a tailspin. Although older, wiser, and far more jaded than when she'd first fallen for him, she's left wondering whether something truly wonderful can come out of giving people Second Chances.” Here’s a brief look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used for those still interested:

Scene One: Allie Haze, a particularly attractive hotty with dark hair, was up first with Chad White as she complained about being fat, some humor displayed but I’d rather not ruin it for you. Her world weary, know it all college character might well have been somewhat stereotypical but she pulled it off quite well, his geek driven hacker façade falling away just a little too quickly to be perfect but he was otherwise better here than in any of his recent roles that come to mind. She wore pink booty shorts and some blue bikini undies in bed with Chad, their unresolved issues sparking off some chemistry the movie had led into from the very beginning. He massaged her cookie and they went at each other as though truly making up for lost time, the music furthering the encounter like it had for the previous trysts but more so (at least at first). By the time the music stopped, Carter had her lips wrapped around his modest pecker, her superior eye contact combining with her oral skills and some hand to gland friction to make the blowjob itself stand out, his reciprocation of oral by munching her neatly trimmed beaver as her legs were spread for him leading into some fingering and active vaginal penetration. As hot as the other two ladies had been, Carter shined here in part due to the manner in which her character was set up by the feature elements, Chad coming across much better too. Summary: Second Chances by directors Jacky St. James and Eddie Powell for New Sensations was a big surprise for me going into it, each performer filling their role just right both sexually and in the feature elements. While Carter Cruise literally kicked ass in her role, the others came across all too believably as well, the replay and strokability of the sex scenes combining with the feature aspects of the movie to earn a rating of Highly Recommended for a general audience. Going into it I thought it was be fine light fare for the middle of the week but it proved much more layered and the writing worked so well for each character that I had to wonder if there was some autobiographical aspect to portions of it, an extra nod going to Jacky’s role as writer regardless. In short, Second Chances was the latest in the “Romance” line that is designed for couples and those who are romantic at heart but even a jaded old coot like me found so much to appreciate that it won me over so consider picking up a copy of this one.
