Extras: The extras included a 31:06 minute long Behind the Scenes feature which was more about the directors interviewing the cast members (but I liked it a lot), a “pick your pleasure” menu, a photogallery, trailers, spam, and some company information.

Audio/Video Quality: Fantasies was presented in a crisp, anamorphic widescreen as shot by director Jacky St. James, Eddie Powell, and Paul Woodcrest for New Sensations. Using the talents of the guys on cameras, editor Gabrielle Anex, and even Scott Taylor writing some of the material, Jacky and team applied the technical prowess to get things looking and sounding great. The flesh tones were very accurate and the composition of most camera angles looked good, the editing as smooth as ever to draw attention away from the technical side so viewers can just enjoy the resulting four vignettes. There was a company watermark on the lower right hand corner of the screen for those who care. The aural components were satisfying too, the music, vocals, and ambient sounds all blended in for a welcome upgrade from the plethora of generic sounding releases I put up with on a weekly basis. As with the visual aspects of the movie, the audio portion was handled nicely, perhaps other companies will start paying more attention too.

Body of Review: Jacky St. James, Eddie Powell, and Paul Woodcrest are the talented directors at New Sensations, each of the three accomplished in the field of pornography. Their latest release is actually a collaboration effort instead of a single director driven set of vignettes in the “Tales From The Edge” series, a title called Fantasies. I was curious to see the set of four scenes showing women in vignettes engaging in various fantasies over the usually narrowly drawn niche they typically offer on their own works, some pleasantly surprising action that I know couples will appreciate compared to the hardcore gonzo releases on the market. The cast of ladies certainly outshined the men here, the women including Carter Cruise, Sara Luvv, Chanel Preston, and Katrina Jade, each given a spotlight scene with a lot of care put into it.

The back cover said this about the movie: “A night of good friends and good drinks turns into a wild night of sex and passion when Carter and her 3 college roommates turn her sexual fantasy into reality. Eager to realize her fantasy of having sex with a stranger, Sara meets two men on a business trip and invites them back to her hotel room for wild, anonymous sex... but there is a twist. For her 5-year anniversary celebration, an unsuspecting Chanel has her bedroom fantasy brought to life by her husband and a complete stranger. Scene One: Carter Cruise, Michael Vegas, Xander Corvus, and Richie Calhoun, were up first playing poker in a modestly lit room with wood paneling. The performers were college friends about to graduate and as one thing led to another, it became a strip poker game with friendly benefits, Carter raising the stakes and the guys graciously following. The initial banter included the kind of ball busting humor guys use, the music was upbeat as things progressed, and though the guys seemed about as college age as the Hollywood actors in Grease looked like high school kids, their reactions were priceless as things came to a head. They ended up in bed and Carter started slobbing their knobs aggressively, easily handling them as she savored their individual tastes with her mouth, applying hand to gland friction to keep the other two entertained while inhaling the modest members to partially throat them and nuzzle their nuts. The complaints were minor, the company forgoing the usual two bonus scenes since Jacky was a major player (Eddie and Paul’s titles always get two additional bonus scenes as extras while hers don’t) and the men not really A listers for the roles (my favorite vignette had three guys that looked more like they could teach college rather than just be graduating with Carter), but the nuances of the interactions and other details really showed some polishing up that is uncommon in modern porn, the kind many reviewers miss when speeding through a scene rather than simply watching (and enjoying) it. In short, Fantasies was the latest in the “Tales From The Edge” line, augmented by providing a broader range of material as well as a hint more “edge” of hardcore than usual which positions it better against competitors and hardcore gonzo alike so check it out to see why I liked it so much.
