Extras: The extras included a 22 minute long Behind the Scenes feature by Van Cooney and Fraulein Fist full of amusing anecdotes and hardcore sex, interspersed with interviews and bits with the production crew at work. If you like seeing such material as much as I do, it will be worthy of a few visits, adding value for providing some entertainment. There was a director's biography, a photogallery, a double sided DVD cover (advertising on the second side though) and trailers to such releases as On Your Knees Bitch, Ass Wreckage 2, Taste Her Ass, Open For Anal 2, and The Whore Next Door.

Audio/Video Quality: Ass Wreckage 3 was presented in the usual 1.33:1 ratio full frame color as shot by Kylie Ireland (camera by her significant other Eli Cross) for release by Platinum X Pictures/Ireland Entertainment. Having seen some fantastic looking porn from this combination (Kylie/Eli) in the past, I figured they'd be offering up another straightforward look at some hardcore sex as they have in past, non-fetish, titles. As it was, Eli did a standup job compared to their latest release for DVSX (in terms of picture quality) with limited grain & video noise thanks to the lighting and limited camera movement. The composition of the shots was such that the ladies were looking good and the action was clearly put forth, marking this as another stroke worthy title from PXP by them. The audio was in 2.0 Dolby Digital English, with reasonably average vocals and music that didn't get in the way after the credits rolled.

Body of Review: I've long had a thing for Kylie Ireland due to her good looks, sexy curves, and her appearance of enjoying sex on camera. Now that she has become a gonzo director, the appeal has taken on a slightly different angle but I could watch her do almost anything and get a chubby. One of her last releases for Platinum X Pictures is Ass Wreckage 3, the sequel to Ass Wreckage 2 and Ass Wreckage 1, where a variety of gals did anal sex acts for the camera. If you've enjoyed some of Kylie's past works, you'll probably find a lot to like here too, so here's a look at the scenes by cast and action, noting no condoms were used:

Scene One: Renee Pornero, a very lean and cute brunette in a flowery bikini outfit, started off her scene with Steve Holmes on the couch with the two making out. There was no introduction or warm up other than some kissing, with Steve using his Mack Daddy moves. Her oral was handled well enough and his rougher nipple play and spanking didn't hurt the energy levels with both seeming to enjoy working with the other. He ate her slightly before boning her from behind in a spoon position, drilling her hard and moving on to the next position soon enough. The vaginal gave way to the anal and while she wasn't the most active cock rider in the movie (not nearly active enough in fact), she looked good in the scene. His cock size was more than she could easily handle and I can understand that, though it diminished the heat for me more than a little, regardless of how much they liked each other. There was ATM and the scene ended with the load rubbed out to her face, serving as a warm-up more than anything else for me.

Scene Two: Kelly "Fuckin" Wells, looking slightly plainer than usual due to a lack of make up on her face, wore a pink & black lingerie outfit as she diddled herself on a bed in the next scene. This led to attracting studly John Strong and Michael Stefano, a common pair of guys at PXP, who started in on working over her mouth and pussy before the anal came into play. After a short warm up, she was getting DP'd by the tag team, much like she was in the superior Hardcore DP, with several positions explored. She wasn't as active this time and the men did more of the work, serving to show how much variation in terms of enthusiasm, energy, and chemistry performers can have under a different set of circumstances. (I challenge any naysayer's to watch both scenes back to back and tell me they couldn't see a clear difference in terms of quality). She did plenty of taste testing and ended the scene with a double mouth shot swallow but it still was a one time deal for me to watch.

Scene Three: Tory Lane, a very hot performer with tremendous skill and superior looks, was up next with all natural Staci Thorn on a bed. The two were enjoying some lesbian action with Tory dominating the action as always, sucking shoes and pussy with equal vigor. They used a string of purple anal beads and conveyed a sense of passion missing in the previous scenes with some early taste testing and strap on dildo play. Midway through the action, Van Damage joined them to provide some meat with fucking and oral given him as though he were simply another object for them to use and discard as needed. There was anal and technical DP footage with all the variations in what amounted to a grudgefuck by the ladies as they tried to compete with one another. It was a decent scene in large part to the skill of Tory and Staci but certainly not their best work to date. Staci took the mouth pop with some cumswapping to Tory, swallowing it up nicely as the scene faded to black.

Scene Four: Genesis Skye, the cutie on the front DVD cover, was up next in a bedroom scene with studly John Strong. There was once again no build up and the editing seemed to be done on the fly but she has proven to be a solid performer in the past and shared an affinity with John given the way she took to his meat rod. He throatfucked her and she impaled her mouth on his cock, licking all over his shaft and balls (even rimming him) before they boned like maniacs. The anal was of particular importance since she seemed to appreciate it though she wasn't as active with him in her backdoor as in the pussy. Scene Five: Carson, a bleach blonde with a nice set of curves and overdone make up (maybe Kylie ran out of make up for Kelly because of it), was up last with Steve Holmes and John Strong working both ends of the gal in the bed by the brick wall (in Kylie's downtown dungeon/set). Her oral was lacking and the energy she put into the vaginal screw was nothing special with the anal taking place moments afterwards. The men switched places and worked her over some more, eventually leading to them giving her a DP. The sex itself was extreme enough but she lacked the enthusiasm needed to pull this type of thing off, and I always got the impression that she was calculating how much extra each sex act was netting her. The overdone implants were horrific too but if you're looking for some MILF action, maybe she'll do it for you. It ended with a porn fans favorite bird, the swallow, but the mechanical vocals by her drove me to reach for the remote control more than a couple of times (I suffered through it since I was reviewing). At least she tried to instill something by rimming the men but that fell flat too and I thought that maybe the scene was a fluke in terms of how poor the performance was given how some reviewers elsewhere seem to think she's prime material.

Summary: Ass Wreckage 3 was among the weakest of Kylie Ireland's gonzo directing adventures based on the often lack of energy or enthusiasm of the cast. The technical qualities (with the exception of the editing) were good enough and the overall package had some merit but the bottom line is that too often, the cast appeared either distracted or otherwise not into it. I don't blame Kylie for this occurrence considering that she has proven her skills time and again but something went on that limited the appeal of several scenes and that lowered my rating to a Rent It. I'll keep an eye out for her more recent titles at DVSX but the only consistently entertaining part of the show was the BTS feature and that's not a good sign in a porn DVD.
