Audio/Video Quality: Paradise City was presented in a crisp anamorphic widescreen offering as shot by director Billy Visual for Digital Playground. Billy was joined on camera operation by Sir Richard Manwin III & Jakodema and Joey Pulgadas was a man of many hats as he was assisted by Keethan Hawke; Andy Appleton and Kylie Ireland handling art direction and many of the usual crew contributing in their roles though Billy “Da Kid” wore multiple hats on set. The camera work was often steady and the resolution decent in most cases, the framing of the footage good but the flesh tones suffered greatly during many of the shots taken during the day, the washed out look dominant as though someone messed up and it couldn’t be fixed in post production by Paula and her team. The aural experience was presented in 5.1 Dolby Digital Surround, the surround aspects believed to be added in post production rather than natively shot as such. Brother Goat was the only one credited with sound other than Sly the gaffer but the vocals were clear, the music appropriate, and the blending of both with some ambient noises handled well enough for a low end porno.

Body of Review: Digital Playground has gone through many changes in recent years, resulting in directors like Billy Visual taking over.. His latest title in for review is called Paradise City, an urban fantasy where the realities of life fade away when a couple is offered a chance to escape the rat race and join a hippy nudist colony upon hitting hard times. With ladies such as Aidra Fox, Chanel Preston, Carmen Caliente and more, I went into this one with some decent expectations of a light feature with ample sex between the seasoned players.

The back cover said: “Larry and Annie, a married couple find themselves in the toughest of times. After losing his job, Larry finds himself struggling to support his family and must move in with his arrogant brother, in addition to working in his firm! Before they head to his place the couple spends a night at a bed and breakfast called Paradise City, but it's really a colony of nudists, free love and lots of sex! The couple witnesses a lovemaking extravaganza, but drive off the next day. Reality sets in for the couple, Larry's brother is a jerk that bangs his mistress during the day, and his wife is a wreck. They race back to Paradise City and are welcomed back with open arms. To celebrate their return, the community starts a group orgy that allows them to release their frustration and sexual inhibitions. This new lifestyle might be the best thing to happen to them!” Here’s a brief look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used for those still interested:

Summary: Paradise City by director Billy Visual for Digital Playground had some serious ongoing technical problems with too much lighting and a script that came across as being written on the fly or improvised, the goofy ending tacked on so hard it made my head spin. Still, the sex was better than the acting and Carmen Caliente and Aidra Fox stood out sexually in their two scenes each, the others consigned to a single scene which merited a rating of Rent It. In short, Paradise City seemed like a production where many of the right elements were assembled and then for various reasons things fell apart, the opening portion of the show suggesting Jakodema was the director though the BTS clearly listed Billy as the main man so maybe something happened to change gears abruptly during the production but it was still worth a look or two so give it a look.
