Extra's: The best extra for me was the short bonus scene where John orders "room service" and gets an uncredited gal (other than being called Sex Kitten) to bone on his own in an Atlantic City hotel room. Lasting a bit over 8 minutes, they had a warmish scene but it left me wanting more, even from the chunky assed gal he did. The next best extra was the 7+ minutes of Behind the Scenes footage that included some sexual antics and humor. There was also a pop shot compilation from the scenes, a trailer for Capital Punishment, and a photogallery.

Audio/Video Quality: Spinal Tap was presented in the usual 1.33:1 ratio full frame color that most porn is shot in these days, the original aspect ratio director Bobby Steele made this DVD in. There was a lot of grain and some video noise with the movie looking much like a low budget home movie at times. The up side to this was the freshness wasn't lost in high end production values (typically called "glossed over" style production that the bigger companies go for). The composition of the shots looked like the director basically shot it all on the fly with little planning, probably to minimize the loss of heat and energy between John and his various gals. The audio was presented in the usual stereo but it was on the low end for porn with no separation between the channels and limited dynamic range augmented by droning music at times.

Body of Review: These days, urban or so called "black" porn is largely driven by the efforts of Lexington Steele and his brand of adult entertainment at Mercenary Pictures since the various companies that dabble in urban releases tend to focus too much on using blacks to act like ghetto thugs or other stereotypical characters; few of which are believable. Well, today, I watched a movie by director Bobby Steele starring John E. Depth called Spinal Tap that offered up something of a compromise. It essentially appeared to be a fusion of homeboy John having sex with a variety of black gals in the standard stereotyped roles but lightened up a bit to appear more down to earth. For the most part, he succeeded in his quest and here's a breakdown of the scenes by cast and action to give you an idea of what took place:

Scene One: Caramel, the large breasted black gal on the front DVD cover, was up first as she teased the camera in her orange two piece outfit before taking care of John in bed. She has long fascinated men with her large, shapely ass (that puts J-Lo to shame) and John was no exception to this rule. She slobbed his knob with a lot of vigor, noting that I have yet to see anyone able to truly deep throat him (including her), and she rode him with a good amount of playful energy. Watching her ass pump up and down was like poetry in motion with a fair amount of chemistry.

Scene Two: Pebbles, a well established black performer with an ample sample herself, was up next in a scene advertised as being her first on camera orgasm as she took care of John on a bed. He spent some time working her over with his hand and tongue before she gave him some head. Her oral wasn't as enthusiastic as Caramel's but it got him hard enough to bone and bone he did while she kept her fishnet top on. She's acted a better orgasm before this one but I thought she enjoyed the scene with him and won't argue about whether she actually came or not. In all, it was a decent scene too with some solid energy.

Scene Three: Ice, yet another gal with a sweet ass but also a very attractive face, was up next as she followed the formula on the bed with John. She gave what amounted to a great blowjob (using her hand and mouth together to enhance the thrill) before the two tore into one another. He hammered away at her fine pussy and went balls deep as he drilled to give her the spinal tap she so richly deserved. I thought she came several times but even if it was just a great act, she gave a tremendous performance here. Wow!

Scene Four: Jasmine, a light skinned black gal with the same type of body style the others had (built for comfort, not for speed), was advertised as a new comer to the porn world and while I could've sworn I've seen her before, I thought she fit right in with John's style of sexual activity. She teased the camera, he went down on her, she returned the favor and the two screwed like happy little bunnies. The chemistry wasn't all that great but she managed to show enough potential that I'd give her a second shot once she learns to enjoy the action more. I thought she took a piss (so called "squirting") but it didn't work for me.

Scene Five: Nina, a friendly lass with perhaps the largest ass of the cast, was up last in a bedroom scene with John. I hated all her body art and thought she could use a membership at a gym but she did have a bubbly attitude that helped me enjoy her work far more than I would have otherwise done. With lots of energy, she attacked his meat as though it was the best thing in her life and this attitude made the scene very solid for all the initial issues I had with her look.

Summary: Spinal Tap was nothing like the mockumentary music title from years gone by for those who care. Instead, it was a selection of scenes with black gals getting boned by large bone owning John with a sense of fun, if not family, whereby he seemed to really click with the gals rather than just go through the motions most of the time. I'm going to rate this one as Recommended for fans of black on black porn even though the technical limitations were kind of a drag at times.
