The Behind the Scenes footage is of my favorite type, featuring real fly-on-the-wall video, instead of the usual "let's watch a photo shoot" crap. Interviews with Kellemarie and Bella Starr are cut into the footage, giving more insight. This is good stuff, checking in at just over 17 minutes.

The Photobooks are navigatible albums of full-screen stills from the movie and from the set, and they look better than most galleries. The text Cast and Production Notes are worth a quick read as well. The rest of the content is promotional materials.

From the main menu, you can check out an About Private section which has three video clips about the Private company. These are very promotional, and not too intriguing.

Audio/Video:

Another top-notch DVD from Private. The video is letterboxed widescreen, while there are more soundtrack options than most mainstream DVDs. Tracks available include English, French, German, Spanish and Italian, while subtitle choices include Dutch, Swedish, Danish, Portuguese, Polish, Greek and Roman. The video is very crisp on this disc as is the audio.

Body of Review:

From the Private Gold line, Cadillac Highway is the story of Priscilla, a hot-to-trot Southern girl with dreams of being a singer. Lead by the ghost of Elvis (so you know it's going to be good), she finds herself with more success in bed than on stage. Along the way, there's plenty of sex-ploits, all conducted under the skilled porn eye of Axel Braun. The story isn't anything new. nor is it truly coherent, but it does give the movie some structure, and a reason to trot out the ghost of Elvis. Nothing wrong with that. One for the money(shot), two for the show(girls)...three(some) to get ready, now let's go, cat, go:

You may even find yourself watching the movie along with the sex. This DVD has a bit of everything and some fine sex. If you're looking for some polish with your porn, this is the place to look. I could see this being a couples DVD as well, as the sex isn't too extreme, and everything looks on the up-and-up, unlike gonzo DVDs. While I would have liked to see Elvis in action, what we get is damn good.
