Extras: All of the extras were contained on the second disc, the trailers and photogallery complimented by three separate Behind the Scenes features; the BTS lasting 100:07 minutes. The cast and crew were all in evidence, the preparations and additional glimpses of the ladies tossed in for good measure. The DVD case itself opened up on the fold to show screen captures from the movie on each side, the discs securely attached to their hubs more than traditional holders tend to do.

Audio/Video Quality: Zorro XXX was presented in 1.78:1 anamorphic widescreen as shot by acclaimed director Jordan Septo for Pleasure Dynasty. Unlike some of the multitude of low grade parody outfits populating the porn industry, Pleasure Dynasty appears to be making plans to maintain quality regardless of the economy, their initial outing (Taxi Driver) winning over a lot of my fellow critics due to the attention to detail, the superb casting, and the commitment to providing an entertaining porno that is still strokable. The company picked up Jordan, a long time favorite of mine for some of his booty-centric gonzo, and gave him more room to run with the premise than he had been given in previous efforts and the resulting upgrade in quality shows. The bitrate varied but the lighting, sets, and other technical aspects were all polished efforts, this in contrast to what I’ve sadly grown to expect from some of the biggest companies out there. Craig Daze handled the editing, Paul Woodcrest was director of photography, and Alex Ladd covered the camera, and an assortment of well known staffers also took care of the myriad of tasks associated with high end features to assist the director make something special. If all of Jordan’s parodies are going to be this good, I hope to see a lot more of what he has to offer early in the year because award time comes all too soon. The audio was presented in 2.0 Dolby Digital English, the vocals crisp and the music appropriate to the production. There appeared to be no looping or other issues, the only thing that might have made it come across as less sterile would be the addition of more ambient noises to flesh out the aural experience.

Body of Review: Jordan Septo has been successfully directing gonzo porn for years but changing economic times have resulted in the man expanding his horizons into the parody market too. As such, his first work for up and comer production juggernaut Pleasure Dynasty, a movie called Zorro XXX: A Pleasure Dynasty Parody, seems like the perfect feature for him to work on. Having been a fan of the popular “Zorro” character as long as I can remember (enjoying silent movie versions, Tyrone Power in the role, Guy Williams, and a wide assortment of others including the lighthearted Antonio Banderas releases from awhile back), I initially questioned the selection of Ramon Nomar in the role over someone like Tommy Gunn or Marcos Banderas but he did a credible job in the role both as an actor and as a sexual swordsman. It also did not hurt that three of my favorite performers were included, Brooklyn Lee, Jynx Maze, and Gracie Glam have all contributed heavily to my personal spank bank of late, the rest of the cast including award winning Tom Byron and others providing something to appreciate. The back cover described the movie like this: “In the 1800s the legendary bandit rode the streets of California on his black horse to challenge the authority of a ruthless government. But once his true identity was discovered he suffered a terrible fate. Several years later, with the help of an eager apprentice for him to pass the torch to, the legend returns. The new bandit helps to right the wrongs done to his mentor and to crush the man who ruined his life. Along the way we discover that although his skills with horses and swords are considerable, his real talent is with the ladies.” Here’s a brief look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used for those still interested:

Brooklyn Lee

Scene One: Jynx Maze, the sexy babe seen on the left side of the front cover, was up first in a flowing dress that hardly covered her assets for long once she threw herself at Tom Byron in a darkened room. The technical values were solid with good lighting, editing, and a score that, while minimal, provided something beyond the generic music one expects these days from a parody. In terms of the sexual exploits, only one scene fell short of the mark and the feature elements seemed strong enough to support their inclusion in the story so combined with the pleasing disc of extras, I felt a rating of Highly Recommended was reasonably earned. In short, Zorro XXX: A Pleasure Dynasty Parody proved that the porn parody genre is not as dead as some would proclaim it, the rough edges displayed on this one a lot fewer than what many of the competition offer.
