Extras: The best unrelated extra would be the 32:44 minute bonus scene from Anal Fanatic 3 between Rachel Roxxx, James Deen, and Ramon Nomar as described below. There was also a cumshot recap from the scenes, trailers, a photogallery, and spam, the 20:14 minute long behind the scenes feature was pretty decent this time (lots of interview with the ladies).

Audio/Video Quality: DP Fanatics was presented in 1.78:1 anamorphic widescreen as shot by director Grazer for Elegant Angel using the MPEG-2 codec employed by standard definition releases with a 480i resolution. The lighting was strong, eliminating the shadows and grain like most of Mick's works in the past, adjusting comfortably to his role as director for the company, this being a POV fuck flick. The grain was minimal and I got the impression that Mick spent some time to use the camera angles to enhance the looks of the nicely made up ladies, their tits always the focal point of the action. The bitrate tended to hover around the mid 3.5 Mbps area most of the time I paid any attention to it, the opening tease sessions looking like they were much lower resolution and frame rate for some reason. The composition of the scenes enhanced the look of the ladies, providing each with some nod to their relative strengths, the editing by Bruce Carter cleaning up the footage nicely into a series of nicely honed clips. The sole audio track was presented in 2.0 Dolby Digital English using a 256 Kbps rate using a 48 kHz sampling rate most titles are mastered with, the aural experience fairly limited due to the nature of the gonzo shoot. There was also no separation between the channels and the dynamic range was as truncated as ever, standard gonzo audio being okay for most consumers. The music was decent again too, the tease portions of the scene the only time when it was noticed.

Body of Review: Grazer is the directing name of Mick Blue when he shoots for Elegant Angel, his first few attempts showing something of an upgrade over many of his previous works. The likable fellow is generally considered one of the better male performers and his work behind the camera has been developing favorably for some time, resulting in a movie like DP Fanatics. While I am not a huge fan of anal or double penetration (DP) scenes, when a cast of ladies such as Brooklyn Lee, Jynx Maze, Jada Stevens, and Asa Akira are assembled in a single title, even a guy like me has to sit up and take notice. As expected, every one of the ladies took a cock in her pussy and ass at the same time, a wealth of taste testing and blowjobs rounding out the sexual energy. I found the reduction in number of scenes to four versus the usual five to be troublesome (Elegant has so far resisted joining lesser companies in trimming the amount of fuck for the buck they offer) but each of the sexual trysts provided some stroke value and I allayed my concerns with thoughts of quality over quantity. Here’s a brief look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used for those still interested:

Scene One: Jada Stevens, the curvy babe featured on the front cover, was up first and it was a solid manner to open the movie’s four scenes. She was dressed in the usual bikini as well as a black slit outfit that looked awesome, the tease montage taking place inside the house (so no oil or pure sunlight, rats!) but still engendered some strokability. The tease was too short for my tastes but led to a tryst where she worked with both Erik Everhard and director Mick Blue, slobbing Mick’s knob in POV as a warm up before moving to the downstairs white couch to do likewise to Erik. The guys gave her some head and were soon taking turns boning her, the vaginal and anal leading to the advertised DP and adding some taste testing to spice things up. Jada was not as active as I’ve seen here in this scene, the guys taking a break to deploy a black anal plug for some reason (guys, when you are already fucking a babe, don’t stop for toys; it ruins the pacing and serves no purpose). It was the shortest by far and looked thrown together compared to the others, the effect lacking even compared to others in this show but the gorgeous hotty still looked ready to rumble. Summary: DP Fanatics by director Grazer for Elegant Angel earned a rating of Recommended from me thanks to the casting, general quality of double penetration, and the strokability of the provided footage. For the most part, the casting and advertised action were exactly what I expected, the technical matters handled capably enough to merit a nod. Going into the movie with a knowledge of the superior cast of babes including Brooklyn Lee, Jynx Maze, Jada Stevens, and Asa Akira had me thinking this might be the best fuck flick of the year but even though some of the editing and action were on the modest side, it still should stand the test of time better than what most gonzo companies are offering. In short, DP Fanatics showed that while Mick Blue is a capable director, he still needs to learn to polish up his works more, allowing more freedom for the ladies to truly get off or at least appear that way. Some of the footage gave the appearance of forced acts, the resulting chemistry wavering and my desire to have a lengthier tease montage duly noted. All of the ladies looked great and gave some fine moments too, just missing the mark of the next higher rating but in the ballpark for an upgrade in subsequent volumes should this become a series.
