Audio/Video Quality: The picture was presented in the usual 1.33:1 ratio full frame color. Like a number of recent Vivid Interactive releases, it looked a bit off in terms of the color and in having too much grain (usually as a result of a lighting issue but not always) but it wasn't terrible. The audio was presented in stereo English with droning music and vocals that weren't quite mixed right but the other aspects of the show seemed pretty good. I saw no compression artifacts on the DVD transfer and there were no obvious audio dropouts either.

Body of Review: Feature porn is often silly because the stories used make little sense and get in the way of the sexual pleasure. There are a number of examples where the two mesh in a good way, treating each as an integral part of the equation but usually one or the other gets the short end of the stick (not a good thing in porn). Conceptually, there's no reason for this to be the case but the porn world relies on guerilla tactics and plots tend to get discarded at will under those circumstances. Vivid Interactive, one of the leading producers of such features is no stranger to both good examples and bad with their latest release, Sweet Hearts, a mix of both. The movie concerns a couple of porn stars that have broken up but are required to film one last scene. The interactions between their significant others makes for a moderately entertaining set of sex scenes and here's the breakdown by cast and action for you:

Scene One: The first scene was more of a tease than anything else and had Dru masturbating while watching a porno on her bed. It included rubbing and a vibrator in her ass but was too short.

Scene Two: Savannah, looking really hot in some tight blue jeans, took care of the massive Lee on a bed in her home. He started it off with some minor oral on her and she took it to the next level by giving him a sultry blowjob. At times, it almost seemed like she was getting her communion and the eye contact was solid. Lee then used her breasts for a short titty fuck before plugging her deeply in her pussy after which she rode him like a bucking bronco. It ended when he rubbed out a load on her ample chest. Yum!

Scene Three: Michelle, a blonde with a lean body and solid oral skills, took care of Jordan and Eric in a jailhouse scene. The scene was oral and straight with a facial at the end yet precious little heat.

Scene Four: After another teaser scene (between Dale and Savannah), there was a decent lesbian scene between Brittney and Brooke in a nice living room. Lee watched the two play with one another as they licked, rubbed and sucked each other until he couldn't take any more and joined in with them on a couch. It was a warm scene with a lot to like.

Scene Five: Lezley, looking lean and trim, took on both Eric and Dino on an outdoor shoot with ample light. The sex included some solid oral with decent straight sex but it wasn't the best she's done in the business.

Scene Six: Savannah and Dale finally got to complete their very short scene on an outdoor swing in front of the crew. It consisted almost entirely of a few strokes inside her pussy and ended with a kiss. I wish there had been more to it than that but it fit with the story and we all know how Paul Thomas likes the story over the sex.

Scene Seven: Dru, the redhead (this time) with the splendid oral skills (giving a Hoover a pause), took care of Dale on a balcony and a bed. It included great oral and solid straight sex with a large load to her ass. Yum!

Summary: The show wasn't a bad one but due to the technical issues and lack of consistent heat, I really thing a rating of Rent It is the best it earned. If you're a fan of several of the cast (and there were some real cuties here), you may want to increase the rating for your own purposes but unlike a number of other recent Vivid releases, the picture quality here was somewhat lacking (they have been working on it and I give them credit for it all the time) and the sex scenes were overridden by the story. It's not a bad release, just not up to their usual standards.
