Extra's: The best extra by far was a nearly 12 minute long Behind the Scenes feature that had most of the cast involved in the before/after parts of their scenes (with some sex too). I wish it had introduced the rest of the male performers and showed more detail but at least there was something here to appreciate. There was also a photogallery but it wasn't all that great and I'm not a fan of stills these days considering the availability of the moving sex scenes.

Audio/Video Quality: Platinum Angels was presented in the same 1.33:1 ratio full frame color it was shot in by director Corey Jordan for his company No Boundaries Entertainment. The scenes were not consistently good or bad this time with some appearing to be too dark (ensuring shadows aside, the grain levels got worse in such scenes), others too cramped (as though the location got in the way of the positions), and others being too light or otherwise flawed. That there were camera angles unfavorable to some of the gals was simply a pain as Corey's done much better in the past and I didn't expect compositional errors to reduce the heat of some scenes. I saw no compression artifacts or video grain though so perhaps some fine tuning will improve future volumes of the series. The stereo English audio track was bare bones with little special about it, much like most porn. Yeah, some of the voices were hollow but the overall impression I got was that the scenes were done quickly with little need for better audio.

Body of Review: Director Corey Jordan has long proven to be something of an enigma to me given his public life compared to the kinds of scenes he has shoot for several companies. Now that he's on his own again, shooting for his own company, No Boundaries Entertainment, I figure he'll start making the kind of movies he's always wanted to without the pressure of a slave driving boss truncating his vision. It may take awhile to get him there though given the first release of his for the company, Platinum Angels. The movie was a series of unrelated vignettes with minimal story and maximal sex but the quality of the scenes varied more than I cared for. Some of the issues were technical in nature while others were casting conflicts (performers not happy to work together by the looks of it) so while I respect Corey's usual skill at showcasing sex on screen, this wasn't his finest work to date. That said, here's a look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used to ruin your viewing pleasure:

Scene One: Chloe Dior, a sweet looking brunette with large implants that can sort of be seen on the front DVD cover on the left hand side (in B& W), established the formula for the movie by asking if the viewer wanted to see her get fucked and giving up a short tease sequence before Anthony Hardwood joined her. He immediately started sucking her ass and pussy, giving her goose bumps in the process, with her returning the favor after that. They screwed vaginally with some passion and anally as though she were hurting from it but all the while, she looked good. It ended when she jerked out his load onto her face and licked him clean.

Scene Two: Mason Storm, another busty brunette but this time a favorite of mine (for the last few years at least), followed the tease formula before taking care of John West on the bed. The day the scene was recorded was John's birthday and she joked about giving him his birthday fuck (if she sent me her address, I'd be more than willing to invite her over on my birthday too) on the BTS feature. She savored him completely and as the scene progressed, the heat elevated with some of the chemistry you'd expect to find from two performers that really like one another. Her partners were Talon and Jack Spade, both of whom may not exactly qualify as top male talent but are good enough for the likes of her. She took them orally in turns, with each guy blabbing like a bitch (mostly Jack though), and then did both of them bareback in her mouth for good measure. She only did vaginal and looked like they rubbed her raw but at least she pumped away like she wanted to fuck. It wasn't a great scene but she did show some potential here.

Scene Four: Brittney Skye, the blonde featured on the front DVD cover, was up next in a scene with studly Van Damage. I've long appreciated this gal too for her golden locks of flowing hair, her willingness to get down and dirty, and her sexual skill but she isn't always known for giving her all for a scene. The tease was too short here too and the weak lighting didn't help but her begging worked for me as much as Van with the two making out right after that. They kissed, rubbed, and stroked one another before the oral took place as she ground her hips into his cock. The oral was short lived as she seemed to want him inside her pussy. She then took out a vibrator to assist with the action, him pumping away before the facial, in this slightly limited scene.

Scene Five: Cherokee, a busty MILF I've long appreciated for her curvy (but short) body, her squeaky voice, and her winning ways in bed (it has something to do with the 2004 AEE show too), was up last as she took on some generic (all the men were uncredited, I just happened to know the others better) meat puppet in a waiting room. Summary: Platinum Angels was a far cry from director Corey Jordan's best work but I still think his potential is much better than some critics have recognized to date. As he settles into his new role of company owner, I fully expect he'll impress a lot of those critics into realizing he has a slightly different edge to show the world, an edge that includes hot, steamy sex with willing performers. In large part to my appreciation of his proven potential, it pained me to give this offering of his a rating of Rent It but this is only fair since I expect a lot of this guy given some of his past work. Check it out and you'll see that there must've been something going on to tax his sensibilities or otherwise distract him yet he still manages to show a glimmer of his ability in almost every scene.
