The 1.85.1 (sadly) non-anamorphic widescreen transfer on this DVD is rock solid. Color reproduction is strong, black levels are consistent and deep but not too murky, and there's a nice level of fine detail present throughout. The only real flaw is that there are some compression artifacts here and there that you probably will pick up on as well as some ringing here and there. Other than that, there's really nothing to complain about, The Erotic Adventures Of Nikki Nine looks surprisingly clean!

Sound:

The Dolby Digital 2.0 Stereo track gets a bit loud in spots but it doesn't quite overpower the performers and for the most part this track is free of any major defects. There are no problems with hiss or distortion and once you turn the volume down just a bit, it's fine.

Extras:

The main extra feature on this disc is a behind the scenes featurette that runs for just under twenty minutes. In here you'll find some fun interviews with the cast and with the director as well as some interesting behind the scenes footage and photo shoot footage. You'll see a bit of hardcore action from a few different angles as well as some bits and pieces of the cast getting into costume and character.

Aside from that, look for the usual Hustler DVD extras – trailers for four of their DVDs, trailers for four VCA DVD releases, a still gallery containing roughly seventy-five pictures of the five starlets from the feature, some phone sex ads, and a web-link. Star selection and chapter selection are also provided off of the main menu screen.

Final Thoughts:

Nice production values, a fun story and some reasonably steamy sex scenes make The Erotic Adventures Of Nikki Nine a decent porno with some semblance of a plot and a solid choice for couples. The sex is pure fantasy but there's nothing wrong with that and the cast perform here quite well. Recommended.
