Audio/Video Quality: Ass Addiction 3 was presented in 1.78:1 anamorphic widescreen color as shot by director Robby D. for release by Digital Playground later this month under their Handheld Pictures label. The lighting was reasonably solid here, as expected given this was Robby's standard type of gonzo, and that meant that the limited amounts of grain and other visual elements used to lend a sense of texture were minimal. While I generally prefer flood lighting in my gonzo porn, Robby has a way of showing it all with less light, the tint of the colors only slightly off as a result. The way the scenes were shot and edited was markedly similar in the scenes, though the composition of the angles was changed up a bit depending on the scene in question; providing a variety of styles to enjoy. The composition of the shots and the editing enhanced the look of the ladies more than a little bit too, proving what this critic has to say about the production team led by Robby (who did all the camerawork to allow the talented “Brothers P”; presumably including both Nick "The Wiz" P. as well as Joey “The Master” Pulgadas with the task of cleaning up the goofs with the editing & music again) with the DVD mastering revealing few compression artifacts (the bitrate varying but often staying near the mid 3 Mbps range in order to accommodate the wealth of footage included this time). Robby told me to my face that he was loosening up on using his best production crew more aggressively in the Handheld titles; maintaining control but realizing that he could trust them to do more than he had been letting them in the past. The audio was presented in a 5.1 Dolby Digital Surround English (using 384 Kbps) with a minimalist leaning that seemed unique in most ways to productions outside of the Jack series, with the vocals always dominating the audio track as I like it. While there wasn't much separation between the channels, if any, the ladies were almost always clearly heard and their moans added to the enjoyment of the show.

Body of Review: Handheld Pictures has been one of my favorite companies in porn over the last few years, others in the industry finally catching up to see director Robby D.’s gonzo work evolve beyond the standard pap found all too often on the industry. For a company like Digital Playground to so fully embrace the attitude displayed by the movies made under this label is also telling of where they think fans want them to go in the future; my observations that Robby gives some of his best work in the titles under this label. The latest release for the company, or least one coming out at the end of the month, is Ass Addiction 3, the sequel to the highly rated Ass Addiction 2 that has proven so popular. The premise was simple this time: provide a wealth of hot booty in scenes full of tease and passionate action, offering more in the way of extras too. Both previous volumes in the series are among the best the company has to offer an ass lover like me so I went into my advance screener copy with a combination of knowing how good it should be as well as the slight possibility that it couldn’t possibly live up to what came before. Thankfully, I was provided with another sweet ride on the ass loving train as Robby shot for the fans. If this sounds interesting to you (and it should), here’s a breakdown of the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used:

Scene One: Lacey Maquire, the blond featured on the lower half of the front cover in the white bathing suit, was up first in a scene billed as her first anal. Her partner was studly Mick Blue who had been working with Robby to expand their community outreach program for wayward women and as she was a neighbor, she was the first to see the flyers the guys had been blanketing the neighborhood with. Her English accent was appealing but it was her sweetly curved ass that gained my attention the most, followed by her playful nature that elevated this opener pretty quickly into one of my favorite scenes of the last week. After some extensive teasing, she actively inhaled his meat pipe and Robby was wise enough to continue mixing the tease in with her oral instead of just mechanically focusing on the dominant action as most of his peers do these days. It was clear she liked “sucking dick” and the use of POV variations to capture some of it added to the fun nicely. Summary: Ass Addiction 3 by director Robby D. for release by Digital Playground later this month under their Handheld Pictures label benefited by the casting, the technical values, and the sheer quantity of fuck for the buck that also managed to offer up substantial amounts of replay value for me. I venture to say that I could use this one for weeks on end as inspirational and the surprises in terms of heated action were nicely played so I rated it as Highly Recommended. The limited theme of an advertising campaign bringing in the hotties struck me as just goofy enough to belong to the director but ultimately, Ass Addiction 3 did indeed live up to Ass Addiction 2 with the bonus scene providing even more fun than anticipated. If you’re a devoted fan of ass but not fixated on anal sex in every scene, you will almost surely appreciate how solid a hit this should become!
