Extras: The first disc had no unique extras to speak of. The second disc was where all the extras action was at, the best extra being the 21:47 minutes of Behind the Scenes footage. There was mostly extra sex, a lot of extra nudity, and some interviews; with the women all goofing off to add some value to the feature. There was also a photogallery, a cumshot recap, a cast list, and 6 trailers.

Audio/Video Quality: Innocent Until Proven Filthy 8 was presented in the same 1.78:1 ratio anamorphic widescreen the scenes were originally shot in by director Erik Everhard for Jules Jordan Video using the MPEG-2 codec (sporting 480 resolution). The quality of the visuals varied a bit here but Everhard focused less on the technical matters instead of maintaining the usual sexual energy and chemistry. The lighting was decent and that eliminated most of the problems associated with gonzo productions, Erik's works virtually always a few notches above the competition from what I've seen over the years. The editing could have used some polishing up but the basics were covered handily, the end result pretty close to what I expected out of the show. The bitrate was all over the charts here with much of the footage coming in around the 4.8 Mbps range but there were not a lot of compression artifacts present that I could see (there was some inherent grain at times though). The audio was offered up in 2.0 Dolby Digital English using 192 Kbps bitrate and 48 kHz sampling rate but there was no separation noticed that I could figure out, and the dynamic range was pretty limited too; the scenes coming from quickly shot gonzo; the guerilla shooting style favored by pornographers everywhere. The limited music was okay but nothing special.

Body of Review: Erik Everhard and his works distributed by Jules Jordan Video have long been fan favorites for their amount of fuck for the buck, Erik’s hardcore sexual antics with some of the top ladies in porn eliciting favorable reviews. That is why I was happy to take a detailed look into Innocent Until Proven Filthy 8: Special Edition, the sequel to last year’s volume, when it came in the other day. Knowing full well that the movie would have hours and hours of material in the double disc set, I took my time to give it the once over, the general theme of newcomers standing out in my mind as the show progressed. I was acquainted with most of the cast at least a little bit but few of them had been truly worked over as Erik tends to do when he goes into his trance-like state of mind in his flicks, figuring this might be the “make or break” points in their careers. In any case, all of them appeared attractive enough and despite the attempts at humor on the back cover, it was clear the show would prove most strokable to the raincoaters out there. Going into the production, I was most interested in seeing former contract hotty Cassidy at play, Kortney Kane, and Brandy Blair also suggested as prime reasons to see this one. Here’s a brief look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used for those still interested:

For me, the replay value and strokability enhanced the chemistry but it was clear that the ladies wanted to work with Erik. In short, Innocent Until Proven Filthy 8: Special Edition was as good as other volumes in the series to date in many ways, the degree of comparison difficult due to the variations each pairing provides for analysis. Still, if you check out the titles in this series, you will find them to all be full of all the right elements.
