Audio/Video Quality: The picture was presented in 1.33:1 ratio full frame color. There was a lot of scenes with too much grain and color bleeding but no worse than most Vivid compilations. A few scenes were even very clear. The audio was presented in stereo although I didn't notice any channel separation when I listed to it. The vocals were clear enough for the purposes of a compilation.

Review: Okay, so you're in the market for a compilation but what type do you really want? First, you have to decide what types of sexual action you want. Let's say you like anal. Second, what women do you want to see taking the anal plunge? How about Julie Meadows, Nikita Denise, Briana Banks, April Flowers, Zana and a bunch of other women? Third, having you ever dished out $30 or $40 for a compilation, only to find out it had about 80 minutes of material? Sucks, doesn't it? A good compilation of this sort should probably have 2 or more hours, and hopefully costs under $15. When put that way, the field of potential purchases drops to a handful. One such choice would be Analpalooza by Vivid.

Having been burned by the corporate suits at Vivid myself a number of times over the years, I can happily say that this particular dvd did provide the requisite action (anal) with only a single (or was it two) cases of the anal being with a toy, there was nearly the 4 hours of action advertised, and the costs is lower than normal. The cast wasn't hurting in the looks and sexual performance categories either. You get 21 scenes, with most of the weaker sex edited out as was all the lame story stuff with acting.

That said, was this the best compilation I've seen over the years? Not by a long shot! But it did give me what it said it would (more or less) and the cast was mostly credited (I added in some names of performers I recognized by sight). Keep in mind that a number of these performers only work/ed for Vivid so you won't see them elsewhere. There was a lot of fuck for your buck (especially at these prices) and plenty of oral, straight and anal sex going on too. The scenes were from a wide spread of years-1996 to 2001 I believe-and while the action was as graphic as you'd expect from top of the line gonzo companies, anal is still pretty hardcore by most standards.

So check this one out if you fall into the above listed groups (particularly the cheap part) as I'm suggesting this as a Recommended title. Analpalooza won't set the world on fire but it had enough warm moments to set your pants on fire. Check it out.
