Extra's: The best extra was the 21.5 minute long Behind the Scenes feature by Tina Tyler. It had a fair amount of extra sex footage but also some kidding around and interview footage with a few bloopers tossed in for good measure. It wasn't the best STS I've seen of late but it was well worth watching and added some value to the DVD. There was also a fetish menu, a photogallery, some trailers, and a double sided DVD cover.

Audio/Video Quality: Silverback Attack was presented in the same 1.33:1 ratio full frame color it was shot in by director Lexington Steele for Mercenary Pictures. The colors were accurate, the camera compositions were eye pleasing (making the gals look their best is one of the most important things a director can do), and the lighting seemed slightly better than average for a Mercenary Pictures release. There were some shots that weren't lit as well, causing grain and other minor flaws, and some of the fishnet material caused the picture to shimmer more than I prefer but there were no compression artifacts and I thought the movie was a step in the right direction, regardless of who takes credit for it (both Domina X and Lex worked the cameras). The stereo English audio track was as basic as ever, with little separation between the channels and no significant amount of dynamic range but I could hear the gals moaning (and screaming for the matter) and the music played throughout the scenes. There were a few times when the audio lost synchronization with the picture but most people aren't going to care too much about that.

Body of Review: Mercenary Pictures is a company that wins awards, provides a lot of quality porn, and has enough diversity that just about everyone will find something in their catalog to appreciate. Their latest title is Silverback Attack, an homage to the king of the jungle, where a horde of curvy gals engaged in sexual activity with the all black male crew. In general terms, the scenes were pretty well done with some fun and frolicking going on between the white women and black men so fans of interracial sex can live the dream on this MLK Day holiday by watching the cast go at it in usually heated ways. Here's a breakdown of the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used by the performers:

Scene One: Katsumi, one of the most prolific performers in porn these days, was up first in a skimpy little thong, open bra and thigh high boot outfit. She teased the camera while JR Langdon and Jean Baptiste watched her from the upstairs couch. Summary: Silverback Attack might not have been director Lexington Steele's best effort to date but it was certainly strong enough to warrant a rating of Recommended for fans of interracial sexual activity. The technical matters were pretty decent, the amount of fuck for the buck reasonable, and the cast of ladies was largely pleasing so the addition of the fun BTS extra by the talented Tina Tyler was just icing on the cake. Lex has offered better in recent years but this new series may soon improve to the point where it surpasses a few of his others if given the chance. Check it out and I think you'll see what I mean.
