Extras: The extras were minimal this time with only a slide show, some trailers, and a few commercials on the DVD. The back DVD cover mentioned a Behind the Scenes feature but none was found on the DVD.

Audio/Video Quality: Tight Ends was presented in a 1.85:1 ratio non-anamorphic widescreen color as shot by director Ray Anderson for release under the new Hustler Hardline label. The fleshtones were accurate, the lighting just fine, and the visuals lacked grain but on the down side was that the composition of the shots was not always favorable to the ladies of the cast. It was better looking than a number of similar releases on the market of late but needed a lot more polishing up to truly compete on the merits of the cast. There were no compression artifacts to be seen and the natural lighting of several of the scenes was actually pretty decent though. The audio was presented in the usual 2.0 Dolby Digital stereo English with minimal separation, weak dynamic range, but the kicker was the low levels on the vocals compared to the music.

Body of Review: Hustler Hardline is the new gonzo line from the empire started so many years ago by Larry Flynt. It was started up to address the many complaints that the company's titles were too limited compared to many of the competitors on the market. The first title of the new line is Tight Ends, an all anal extravaganza with a decent cast showing some solid potential. Director Ray Anderson was at the helm and while he may not exactly be the top of the line in terms of creativity and visual quality, he's done some fine work in the various series he's been in charge of. Here's a quick breakdown of the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used:

Scene One: Kat, a tiny little gal with braces and wearing a shiny red bikini, started off the show with a scene on a set by a campfire. She began with a lot of dirty talk and was soon inhaling the cock of the massive Lee Stone. The contrast between the couple was interesting (relative size difference, musculature, skin tone) but both appeared to have similar sexual aggressiveness. He licked her feet; pussy and ass with her sucking him off a little bit in return. The couple boned actively in her pussy (with PTM) and anally before he dropped a load onto her ass. It wasn't all that special of a scene but it certainly covered the basics well enough.

Scene Two: Sandra Romain, one of the reigning anal queens of porn, was also in a red bikini though the setting was that of a wild west saloon's porch as she teased Jerry and slumpy Trent Soluri. There was a bit more sexual tension this time but that's one of her strengths as a take charge kind of gal. Her all natural body, dirty talk, and seductive moves contributed to the power she emanated with the guys getting worked up as she displayed the goodies she was about to give up. The men sucked her feet but Jerry went straight down to her pussy as Trent held himself in his hand. Sandra was the energizer of the trio and took both of them easily (given their size, it was easy enough to do) in her mouth, pussy and ass, with a short DP before the loads went flying (one load to the ass cheeks and the other to the face). It was a decent scene.

Scene Three: Jasmine Byrne, the hotty on the front DVD cover, was all dressed in a skimpy white outfit as she approached Reno by the bales of hay outside. She talked a good act and tormented him by staying in charge as she gave him a show (telling him to stop touching her and making him beg for it). If you like the sultry Latina type, she's one of the best in the jizz biz, even though she looked like she had lost lots of weight. I liked her lap dance as much as I liked her exploring her dominant side as she ordered him to do various sexual feats. He spent a lot of time licking her ass (lucky guy!) and she always made sure he knew she was in charge, sitting on his face and teasing him to make sure she'd be getting off repeatedly before his load came flying out at the end of the scene. She did some vaginal and then with the anal showed a propensity for ATM. The ending was weak in the sense that he jerked off rather than let her do it but she was the highlight of the show.

Scene Four: Tyla Wynn, an up and coming anal princess, was up next as she gave James Deen and Brett Rockman a striptease dance on the stage of the bar. The western theme was present here too as she gave them both more than they could hope for. The vocals she gave them weren't as load inducing as the ones Jasmine provided in the previous scene but she's a skilled performer, even if not on my short list. They were made to orally please her and she acted bitchy as they tried to get into her sooner rather than later. James was into her pussy first and he got some ass first too but the scene was kind of shy in some ways, with one of the shortest DP's I've seen of late. In terms of energy, it was pretty good but they lacked chemistry and passion so it was a mechanical ride.

Scene Five: Staci Thorn, a skinny blonde wearing a pair of blue jean shorts and a collared shirt, was up last as she walked into the tent to give muscular Tyler Knight some fun. He was compliant to her needs as the light domination theme continued, her teasing him (and making sure he knew she was in control at all times). His oral on her was pretty good but her reciprocation was limited, to say the least, and the vaginal ride was kind of boring. The anal, while better (and showing her more true to form), was too short and even her dirty talk couldn't save the scene for me. He barely came at all into her mouth, and the flies pestering the shoot were again present in the scene.

Summary: Tight Ends had a splendid scene with Jasmine Byrne and the others had some quality to them too but the limitations of the movie's scenes kept me from giving it anything higher than a rating of Rent It. With some better extras, polishing up of the scenes, and perhaps even a bit less frequent use of a formula, I think it could be worthy of more than a single use stroke flick but only time will tell if the kind of drive and energy are put into it that it needs to surpass the already crowded marketplace. The most important ingredient in short supply here was passion (heat, chemistry, or whatever else you want to call it); the sole factor that could've saved it from being an also ran. The "scorching" DP's advertised on the cover might have been only sizzling (or perhaps temperate) but fans of the cast will still enjoy seeing it at least once.
