Synopsis

Note: The Surrender of O is a continuation of O: The Power of Submission. It is my strong suggestion that you watch O: The Power of Submission prior to viewing The Surrender of O. Or, at the very least, read my review of the former movie by clicking the hyperlink above. In this way, the progression of the storyline, in which high-fashion/erotic photographer "O" eventually surrenders to her master, played by Evan Stone, will be more fulfilling for you.

In The Surrender of O, Bree Olson brilliantly continues the role of O, an erotic photographer who specializes in bondage-related imagery, immortalized by Adam & Eve's retired contract star Carmen Luvana in O: The Power of Submission. Bree's portrayal of O is nothing less than stupendous. She should be nominated for--and receive--an AVN or XRCO award (or both!) for both her acting and her sexual performances.

At the end of O: The Power of Submission, O walks away from her former life as a submissive housed in a high-class bordello run by porn legend Nina Hartley. She forsakes her master (Evan Stone) and vows to never return to Nina's house.

When The Surrender of O begins, we learn that, although she no longer lives in Nina's house, O is still submissive to her. Disc Two, also DVD-9, contains numerous special features including a 01:12 behind-the-scenes (BTS) feature, in-depth interviews of director Ernest Greene and Adam & Eve contract girls Bree Olson and Kayden Kross, two self running slide shows (one set of posed shots and another set of BTS snapshots), two bonus sex scenes featuring Carmen Luvana, phone sex ads, trailers, a promo for adameve.com, and, perhaps best of all, an iPod version of the movie you can carry in your pocket! The very thorough BTS feature includes footage highlighting: planning and rehearsing the scenes; makeup and hairstyling; behind the camera action; footage of naked girls hanging around, masturbating, and sucking random cocks; still photoshoots; impromptu interviews of many of the cast and crew--including after sex Q&A sessions; Bree masturbating while going from person to person and literally begging for somebody to fuck her; off-camera tomfoolery; and Nina prepping Trinity's asshole for anal sex. Although not as extensive as some three- and four-DVD sets, I think the Extras included with The Surrender of O are top notch and very worthwhile. Five stars.

Final Thoughts

The best things about The Surrender of O include:

• the emphasis on boy/girl/girl threeways. Is there anything finer than to share two girls--especially those who willingly submit to you?
• Bree Olson. She's a fucking superstar...literally...and a damned good actress to boot.
• the outfits worn by the girls. Whew!
• the toys and other accouterments used by the girls during the sex scenes.
• the attention to detail and production values. The locations, sets, hairstyles, and makeup are all top notch.

The Surrender of O could have been better if:

• a few of the edits between clips would have been a bit less disruptive. Although this is not a major issue, I did find myself wishing that there was consistent transitioning footage from one position to another.
• a bit more music was employed to reinforce the on-screen action.
