Synopsis

Sun Goddess Malibu is the first release from superstar Teagan Presley's new studio, skinworXXX. It's obvious that she learned a great deal about making a lush and luxuriant visual poem from her previous employer, Digital Playground, because the lavish sea-side location, flattering videography, and gorgeous girls are quite reminiscent of the award-winning Island Fever series.

I have singled-out three of these luscious women as "Dr. Jay's Must-See Girls" over the years (Teagan ['07], Sasha ['08], and Bree ['09]). So, the cast is somewhat of a dream, in my opinion. The only thing that would have made Sun Goddess Malibu's cast any better would have been the addition of Eva Angelina. Now that Eva's under contract with skinworXXX, I hope to see her in future titles with the likes of Bree, Teagan, and Sasha.

You can look at Sun Goddess Malibu in a couple of different ways. The most conventional take on the movie, which I used when writing this review, is to consider it a standard five-scene all-girl movie. Each of the four "goddesses" gives a ten-minute or so solo performance that consists of a hot strip tease and masturbation. Then, the four girls get together for one of the most satisfying all-girl foursomes you'll see. This 42-minute Sapphic love fest has "award" written all over it.

On the other hand, you could also think of Sun Goddess Malibu as a single 42-minute all-girl orgy with an extended setup in which all four girls let you get to know their bodies before they get together for multi-orgasmic finger, tongue, and toy play. If I had rated the movie using this second take, the scores would have been even higher!

Besides the cast, Sun Goddess Malibu has a lot going for it. In particular, I'd like to single-out the location (a hilltop mansion and terrace overlooking the blue Pacific ocean) and the videography/editing. Damn, the cameraman did a super job of highlighting the stunning beauty of the girls and the location! In particular, the colors are rich, natural, and flattering of female flesh. In addition, the cameraman really knows what we want to see and then does everything possible to show it to us. Long boom camera shots, unbelievable close-ups, chic black-and-white footage, and sensuous slow-motion all combine with an excellent musical soundtrack to provide one hell of a beautiful experience.

I really enjoyed Sun Goddess Malibu and hope you do, too. It's a must-see for Teagan fans as well as those who truly enjoy Sapphic sex.

In addition to a full-motion chapter selector and multiple chapters per scene, this DVD-9 disc contains the trailer for Sun Goddess Malibu, a three-minute self-running slide show accompanied by music, website access information, and a 25-minute behind-the-scenes (BTS) featurette. The BTS includes: impromptu interviews of the cast and crew, wardrobe, setup of the camera equipment (including the boom I mentioned in the review above), video of still photo shoots, footage of Teagan "warming up" her asshole with a butt plug, and behind-the-camera footage of the filming of two of the solo scenes. This selection of Extras is about average in today's marketplace. Three stars. 

Final Thoughts

The best things about Sun Goddess Malibu include:

• the cast. Although all four girls are superb, I'd like to single-out Bree Olson for her incredible passion and enthusiasm and Teagan for her nearly unbelievable body (she has new-and-improved tits and additional colorful tattoos) and for her incredible anal performance in Scene Five.
• Scene Five. This multiple-orgasmic vaginal and anal Sapphic Scene has "award" written all over it.
• the location. What could be better than outdoors by a mansion overlooking the Pacific at Malibu?
• the videography. With the exception of a few minor jerky camera movements and missing transitions between sexual positions, the video is really excellent. The girls and the location were captured in stunning color and clarity.
• the musical soundtrack. The music is effective, nicely supports the on-screen action, and does not become obtrusive.

Sun Goddess Malibu could have been better if:

• the (very) temporary out-of-sync audio in Scene Five had been caught and fixed during quality control.
• a few jumpy camera movements had been edited out.
• consistent transitioning footage had been provided between sexual positions.

Things I didn't like about Sun Goddess Malibu include:

• not a thing. This beautiful and very sexy movie is definitely a "highly recommended" release.
