Extras: The extras included a non-sex version of the movie lasting a whole 33:20 minutes and 46:58 minutes of BTS footage where the director mentioned it was shot all at once in 27 hours straight. I especially liked seeing some of the many performers that did not make the final cut but it was full of anecdotes of interest. The Behind the Scenes feature was captured by Eli Cross, Alex Ladd, Paul Woodcrest, Rick Garcia, Ferris Montana, Scott David, Eric Swiss, and yes, Will Ryder. There was then a compilation of the musical numbers lasting 7:15 minutes, a photogallery, a replay of the introductory menu, some trailers, and company information.

Audio/Video Quality: Not The Wizard of Oz XXX was presented in anamorphic widescreen as she by director Will Ryder for X-Play. The cameras were manned by Will Ryder, Miles Long, and Eric Swiss while Scott David once again handled the art direction and Cyrus Weatherbee took care of film and sound editing as well as the special effects. Tim Studley was tasked as the lighting director and as low budget as the production might have been, the team came together once more to balance out the sex, the feature elements, and the musical numbers. Aurally speaking, the vocals were good and the ambient noises worked well enough but it was the five musical numbers that stood out, once again as in awards time here we come. Jeff Mullen and Rock Hardson took credit for the music and songs, the cast handling the bulk of the singing (Bartholet’s gay lion number standing out as the funniest though a few others competed for better use of the movie elements).

Body of Review: Will Ryder and his team at X-Play are well known for their porn parody titles of recent years, garnering major awards of all sorts as they led the industry in the genre. His latest porn parody is called Not The Wizard of Oz XXX, the title coming out this week after a very long time in production. The movie was shot in February in one ball bustingly long day, taking various elements of the popular mainstream movie and pornifying it with the help of musical numbers, an appropriately altered focus, and a lot of sex to boot. I still liked the director’s “Not South Park XXX” release better but for those wanting to see how creative some get when the stakes are high and the budgets are low, you will enjoy this one too. The back cover described the movie like this: “The most spectacular adult movie of all time comes to life in breathtaking HD color. A terrible twister brings Dorothy to a magical world of sex-crazed munchkins, horny witches, the Tim Man, Scarecrow, & Lion. Brandy Aniston was great as the Wicked Witch, James Bartholet had some hilarious material in his musical number as well as in the end, and Dick Chibbles shined as the tin man polishing his piston, the others contributing to the success of the show as well. The technical aspects of the show were done well and I can’t remember the last time such a mainstream porn project had a midget scene in it so kudos to the director for breaking down barriers, the movie earning a rating of Recommended or better for any fans of the parody genre. In short, Not The Wizard of Oz XXX may well win any number of awards at all the usual shows over the next year given the quality of the musical productions, the popularity of the source material, and the casting of such a bevy of beauties against such a ragtag group of men, the front cover should be considered one of the best out there for selling a movie like this.
