Audio/Video Quality: Anal Casting Calls was presented in a visually appealing anamorphic widescreen color using an aspect ratio of 1.78:1 as shot by director Mike Adriano for Evil Angel using the MPEG-2 codec employed by standard definition releases. The scenes were all shot with basic lighting to eliminate any shadows, texture, or hints of color variations. The set up was simple with the basic tease, then Mike would join in for various types of messy sex, all in some form of point of view fashion. The grain was minimal as was the video noise, the director trying to provide a basic porn experience here rather than cultivate favorable press by use of silly special effects. It was far from perfect but this did enhance the replay value for me as it showed more care than usual, fans of well rounded women certain to appreciate it. The bitrate tended to hover around the 3.4 Mbps area most of the time I paid any attention to it but the numbers alone do not tell the whole story in this regard, the basic editing not really doing much with the footage that I could see but then I don't have access to the raw footage to make a definitive statement. The audio was presented in 2.0 Dolby Digital English using the standard 192 Kbps rate using a 48 kHz sampling rate most titles are mastered with. There wasn’t much to talk about aurally speaking though, the tease portion of the scenes employed music but the rest of the show was fairly easy to hear the vocals even if it sounded like a home camera shot them.

Body of Review: Mike Adriano is a director at Evil Angel, his double disc gonzo titles showing his continuing love for POV and all forms of anal sex. Anal Casting Calls is one of his latest releases and much like “Hot Anal Auditions”, it focuses mostly on a variety of newcomers seeing if they can handle his brand of anal-centric fun, Kara Price even giving her first such performance per the cover. The entire cast was full of cute young ladies with lean figures and shapely curves, Mike giving all of them a chance to display how well they could handle his anal style that included lots of rimming, toys, and pounding backdoor penetrations. While newcomers tend to be less skilled when it comes to this kind of thing, few of them dropped the ball (even if admittedly few were as great performers as the more seasoned veterans Mike tends to use) and it provided a lot of anal fuck for the buck, the 5+ hours of fun proving to be strokable.

Summary: Anal Casting Calls by director Mike Adriano for Evil Angel might have lacked some of the stronger performances and chemistry I’m used to from his works but it was still well worth checking into as at least being Recommended or better for those that appreciate value and all new scenes. Brandy Aniston was fine, Aarielle Alexis and Jazlyn stood out as excellent team players, and the rest were better than expected for newcomers. In short, Anal Casting Calls: Special Set was two discs full of the kind of anal tease, licking, and penetration that are increasingly tough to find from the competition so give this one a look to see why I liked it so much.
