Extra's: Platinum X Pictures has quietly been adding a solid set of extras to their line of porn over recent months, something few others elsewhere on the net seem to acknowledge. I'm pleased to report that this DVD was no exception and the extras were as follows: 1) a short called "Suffocation By Ass where one of the gals does some face sitting on Steve Holmes, 2) a short director's biography (in need of an update, 3) a 9.5 minute long Behind the Scenes feature with most of the cast having some fun before or after their scenes, 4) a cum shot recap from the scenes, 5) a 4.5 minute long photoshoot of the gals, 6) a bonus scene between Gloria Gucci and Brandon Iron as described below, 7) a 3.5 minute short called Spank Me where covergal Brooke Haven played with her ass and spanked herself, 8) a nearly four minute long short between Brooke and Manuel Ferrara called The Art of Face Sitting, 9) a photogallery, 10) some trailers, 11) a double sided DVD cover, and my personal favorite, 12) an 18 minute long section where the gals tease the camera called More Tease Please. Given the length and quality of the movie itself, these extras really added some value and enhanced my experience.

Audio/Video Quality: Bell Bottoms 3 was presented in the usual 1.33:1 ratio full frame color as originally directed by Brandon Iron for distribution by Platinum X Pictures. The colors were accurate and the picture clear but I did see some unwanted grain at times. The composition of the shots was very appealing as Brandon seems to know what works and what doesn't, spending time getting himself off in hopes of getting the viewer off too (in large part, it works because of this, unlike so many other directors that simply churn them out to the stopwatch). There were some compression artifacts but they were few and far between as was the minor video noise. The stereo audio was presented in English although some in the cast weren't overly fluent in my native language. I could hear the vocals easily enough and the dynamic range wasn't bad but there didn't appear to be much separation between the channels.

Body of Review: As gonzo porn becomes the dominant form of adult entertainment in porn these days, more companies will attempt to provide something edgier and new but there really isn't a lot more than can be done that appeals to most people. Sure, you can buy disgusting scat movies from Germany, real bondage material from Holland, and a wide variety of things that would land domestic producers in court but for the most part, those are the coffee table type of pornos that people really don't enjoy so much as get to see the limits of human endurance, not too much unlike the various forms of circus act sex you can get domestically. One of the companies that routinely pushes the envelop in terms of good taste yet still manages to instill heat and passion in most of their releases is Platinum X Pictures, the kissing cousin of Red Light District known for offering up more extreme sex than just about any company in the USA, including Evil Angel. Their latest release by director Brandon Iron is Bell Bottoms 3 a movie focusing on shapely asses and attractive gals. I haven't seen the earlier volumes in the series so I can't truly compare them against one another but aside from a couple of weaker scenes, I thought the premise was sound. If you want to see a gonzo movie where the gals don't all do anal at the drop of a hat, yet have splendid behinds to display, this one may really appeal to you. Here's a look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that condoms were not used at all:

Scene One: Gloria Gucci, the 22 year old brunette hotty, was up first as Brandon followed her all around town (in public folks), spending a lot of time capturing her sweet ass on camera. They eventually go back to his place where he introduces her to Steve Holmes, a lucky guy laying on his bed. Steve started to kiss and caress her ass (smart man for that!) at about 11 minutes into the show (just to show you how much nice tease there was) and he orally stimulated her to warm her up from there. She responded in kind by giving him some good head and the two were boning away like happy little bunnies soon after that. She did vaginal and anal with ATM before the ending pop shot to her gaping ass (something becoming increasingly infrequent these days) and the energy levels were very nice indeed.

Scene Two: Brooke Haven, the curvy cutie on the front DVD cover, was up next as she wiggled her "bell shaped bottom" for Manuel Ferrara and talked dirty for his, and our, pleasure. While the other gals were very attractive and built for comfort more than speed, she was an excellent choice for the cover given her very talented sexuality. I could see why she got so much of the behind the scenes time and her aggressively sexual mannerisms made the scene all the better with this tower of power from France (I believe he comes from France). She didn't do a lot of oral as some of the others and there wasn't any anal but that didn't matter to me as they got off at least once (she was soaking wet) with some passionate sex. It ended with him pulling out and jerking his load onto her ass. Whew!

Scene Three: Pamela, a 19 year old gal with a lean body and an interesting face, didn't impress me with her ass although it sort of qualified as a bell bottom shape when she spread her legs. To me, she looked like a house stripper at a second tier club, although fans of all natural bodies will like her just fine. Her partner was Brandon Iron, and he seemed infatuated with her as they did some decent oral before boning vaginally with a measure of heat. They did anal too but she seemed barely able to take him inside her, screaming loudly (not passionately) as he invaded her back door. I'm not into gals in pain so even the later ATM didn't recover it for me (I'm not actually a fan of ass to mouth but I extrapolate for the reader since so many people tell me they get into this kind of thing). It ended with a pop shot to her mouth that she swallowed down whole after which, the camera faded away.

Scene Four: Trinity, a very lean blonde with all natural curves was another gal that didn't have the best ass in the world, even wearing some fishnet accessories as she blew Steve Holmes who was blindfolded in a chair. They each got to do some oral on the other, with Trinity doing some gagging action on him before the two screwed. The sex was kind of mechanical this time with her letting him do most of the work in the anal arena. If you don't mind a gal hanging on for dear life as she gets drilled (and does ATM really well), she'll appeal to you more than me. I liked where she tossed some salad (gave him a rimjob) right up until they kissed immediately afterwards (ewww) after which the slapping and rough stuff lost my libido. It ended with him rubbing out a load onto her face but the scene simply didn't do much for me.

Scene Five: Lena Bacci, a curvier version of Pamela above (similar looking face and hair), started off the last scene of the movie wearing tight blue jeans bent over on a couch as she played with partner Brandon Iron. I liked her smile a lot but she had a swell ass for a twenty year old and he seemed to acknowledge this fact too as he played with it a little bit. They did some oral but her highlight was the energetic vaginal she did, perhaps better than any of the others on the DVD. They then did anal but it seemed too much for her so she held on while he pummeled her ass in doggy style before the ATM and load to her mouth. I liked the scene, despite her ass blemishes (they can be fixed), although I still think she has a lot of untapped potential.

Bonus Scene: Gloria Gucci and Brandon Iron had a bit of fun in a point of view (POV) scene that didn't last long, was strictly oral, and ended with her dropping a load onto her spread ass. The technical qualities of the scene were interesting in that they appeared to be done home movie style with a lot more grain than usual but I liked it nonetheless.

Summary: Bell Bottoms 3 had some fine fucking and finer women in most cases but it wasn't the best work of director Brandon Iron so I gave it a rating of Rent It. If you don't mind gals that seemed too inexperienced for some of the more difficult sex acts, you'll probably want to elevate the score a bit but aside from a couple of great scenes, the others weren't up to par in one way or another. I don't think Brandon was at fault since the energy needs to come from within a gal, not by being barked at as some directors (like Chi Chi LaRue) seem to think works and that's about the only aspect of the movie I don't hold the director responsible for. There was some grain in a few scenes and minor visual flaws too that didn't help the rating but it was worth a look if you get a chance.
