Audio/Video Quality: The movie was shot on film in order to make it a contender for the AVN film award category. As such, it doesn't have the same look that most Wicked Pictures movies has-in short, it isn't crystal clear but it's a vast improvement on their hit feature Dreamquest. The picture is presented in widescreen and generally looks good. The sound is in Dolby Digital 5.1 and is also very well done.
Body of Review: It's been said that porn and religion don't mix. What better way for some of the narrow minded religious zealots to get worked up than to learn that a porn movie is displaying a priest as a skirt-chasing pussyhound? Personally, given recent controversies, I think my own concern would've been that the movie dealt with pedophiles rather than red-blooded men chasing hot looking women. In any case, Falling From Grace details the life of a priest who had left some unfinished business behind in the form of lovely Sydnee Steele. After a short sex scene, the movie resumes 5 years later with Brad Armstrong as a man of the cloth attempting to follow his faith while being pursued by his old flame. Here's a breakdown of the scenes by cast member:
Scene One: Sydnee and Dillion got busy in a couch. She's a joy to watch and he's a solid performer so the scene was pretty good. Like most of the scenes, it was oral and straight only.
Scene Two: Kitten gave Joey a sloppy BJ in a parked car. It was very energetic although she's not my favorite performer (personal tastes).
Scene Three: Felecia and Stephanie, both attractive gals who enjoy women as much as I do, had a lesbian scene. It was obvious that they both had great fun here with a chemistry most onscreen couplings never touch. Good work!
Scene Four: Stormy, one of the more attractive blondes I've seen lately, took on Randy in their bed. The two seemed like a natural couple which contributed even further to the solid acting performances by the cast here. The sex was warm and friendly-I just wish it was a longer scene.
Scene Five: Sydnee and Brad had a BJ scene that fit very nicely into the movie. The lady knows how to treat a guy and in real life, I think most men would be lucky to make it past unzipping their fly before they let loose. Whew!
Scene Six: Nicole and Voodoo, a couple who've proven time and again that real life couples can blaze the screen just as much as anyone else (if not more so), enjoyed a scene with Jessica. In terms of pure heat, this was the best scene but like all the scenes, it fit into the overall movie very nicely and that's a tribute to Brad and the other creative forces behind the show.
Scene Seven: Sydnee and Brad finally went all the way. Another good scene if a bit too short. She captures the screen whenever she's on it and he proves that being the director doesn't mean he can't keep up with her.
Summary: The acting was actually very well done for the most part and the movie a good one to recommend to those who want more than just a wall to wall gonzo release. The subject matter was extremely well handled and I think even my more religious friends would have a tough time saying this movie was disrespectful towards their beliefs. The extras added a lot of replay value as well although the commentary track wasn't quite as good as Wicked is known for (it was Sydnee's first time watching the movie and both her and Brad were eating while it played) but I still gained some insight into the movie. I thought it curious that her character's name was Grace Van Owen which was a character from LA Law back in the 90's too.
So, if you are looking for a feature porno that actually deals with religion in an adult manner yet doesn't fall into many of the cliché's the industry is known for, you'll want to take a look at this one. Wicked Pictures raises the bar on feature films with Falling From Grace and I heartily recommend it. Kudo's to Brad and company on such a solid effort.
