Extras: The first disc had a 10:05 minute long Behind the Scenes feature, Bonnie co-writing the show with the infamous DCypher, directing, performing, and “having her hand in every little thing” of the series for the five day shoot. There was then a photogallery, some trailers, and the company contact screen. The second disc had a studio trailer, a photogallery, and a contact screen but that is all.

Audio/Video Quality: Sisters of Anarchy was presented in anamorphic widescreen as credited to performer/director Bonnie Rotten for Digital Playground. The modest writing was from Bonnie and Devon Cypher while the camera operators were Francois Clousot, Alex Tea, “Billy Da Kid” and “Sir Richard Manwin III”, the art direction again upgraded by using the dynamic duo of Kylie Ireland & Andy Appleton, Seth Cardigan handling aural chores and a quartet of editors including Joey Pulgadas, Nick P., PJ Bronson and Keethan Hawke. The flesh tones were accurate, the camera framing solid, the editing was smooth and there was a nice mix of camera angles and contextual shots. The sets looked good and the modest feature elements were decently handled. The 5.1 Dolby Digital Surround appeared to be added in post production rather than natively shot but the vocals were clear and mixed with the music well.

Body of Review: Bonnie Rotten is the latest director at Digital Playground, her first credited project being Sisters of Anarchy, a series paying loose tribute to the mainstream cable hit called “Sons of Anarchy”. Both shows focus on a motorcycle gang, this porn version featuring the squirting queen/director and a bunch of hot chicks that get laid a lot more than the plot is developed. Sisters was shot last spring and aired in the summer, the folks I knew who saw it telling me the look of the show was surprisingly good and the series another feather in Bonnie’s cap as both director and performer. I won’t be a dirtbag and spoil the limited feature elements, I’m sure some idiot will do that if they haven’t already but suffice it to say, the mini-series was more a tribute to biker movies from the 60’s than a parody adaptation of the cable hit. With supporting cast such as Ava Addams, Nadia Styles, and Misty Stone, I saw the potential for an entertaining show early on, though most of the ladies only were in a single scene, Bonnie in three of them and Ava in two. The back cover described the series like this: “Jackie, played by Bonnie Rotten, is the leader of the Sisters of Anarchy motorcycle gang who operate in the heart of Briarhaven, California. She has to deal with some difficult decisions involving her club’s future ever since ex-gang member, Adam, exchanged information with the feds. Now the district attorney is pining on Adam’s testimony to ensure her spot as governor. Every decision Jackie will make will affect her family, friends and rival gangs. In order to protect her hometown and the SOA, Jackie must do what’s needed, even if it means screwing people, left and right!” Here’s a brief look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used for those still interested:

Scene One: Appetite for Destruction: Bonnie Rotten, the compelling force of nature propelling this project from both sides of the screen, was up first hooking up with Seth Gamble. Bonnie is the reigning queen of performing at this writing but her efforts at growing into something even more with her production work have gained her additional notoriety, this scene airing on 6/25/2014 no exception to the rule. The tattooed brunette quickly established her motivation for revenge, the biker chick wearing her colors as she left a friend’s gravesite to protect her family. Summary: Sisters of Anarchy by director Bonnie Rotten for Digital Playground showed she could handle a miniseries format feature show at least as well as some of her peers so I rated this one as Recommended. The feature elements were decidedly light but the sex was as hard as anything coming out of the company in recent memory, Bonnie dousing her partners in her scenes and the eye candy quotient for the rest of the gals certainly an upgrade in diversity. While the show was sent out too late to review for any award consideration, it should be noted that Bonnie’s body of work this year provided plenty of entertainment and enjoyment, boosting her status on both sides of the camera. In short, Sisters of Anarchy followed a half hour series format and this disc release did not edit the episodes into a single feature as I have seen done so well at the company in other titles but it was a fun biker flick with just enough drama to earn it feature flick status and heated enough sex to keep even the most jaded interested from beginning to end to check it out.
