Audio/Video Quality: Busty Pin-Ups was presented in anamorphic widescreen as credited to director Bonnie Rotten for Elegant Angel. The camera work was by Alex Ladd and Sir Ron, Craig Daze handling the post production work which I believe included all editing. The framing of the shots often cut off heads and other body parts by using so much close up action, a variety of medium and longer shots included but fairly infrequent by comparison. The flesh tones were accurate though, all footage shot outside looking better than average and no company watermark to speak of. On the big screen television, the number of compression artifacts was fairly light, the resolution decent but not great and a noticable amount of out of focus portions included. The audio was presented in 2.0 stereo using the AC3 codec, the bitrate a standard 192 Kbps using the 48 kHz sampling rate. The music was fairly sedated and subdued, present during the credits and tease, the vocals and moans easily heard, and what appeared to be an ambient track overlay included to displace other sounds in the outdoor scenes at least, planes flying overhead and wind noise only a few of the bothersome aspects.

Body of Review: Bonnie Rotten stormed into porn awhile back with a “take no prisoners” approach many liked, the heavily tattooed squirt queen quickly earning a reputation for her over the top performances some of us found very entertaining. Bonnie then tried her hand at directing, some mixed reviews from the better credible sources pointing out how she was willing to try new things in her efforts to be herself. After taking some time off, Bonnie ended up directing for Elegant Angel, her latest such endeavor called Busty Pin-Ups, I never got to see the last one though I heard it was okay. The four short scenes of the movie harken back to a time when women put more effort into their appearances, applying a lot of makeup and wearing sexy lingerie before having sex. In that sense, three of the four scenes were outside to take advantage of natural lighting (my favorite) the limited tease and foreplay perhaps better suited to couples or those with a quick trigger. While Bonnie only had a lesbian scene with Vyxen Steele, cover hotty August Ames looked sexy with Ramon, newcomer Olivia Austin seemed suited for Bill, and Mercedes was a good match for Karlo even if I thought most of the men were mediocre. With scant extras and a short running time, my concern regarding the levels of fuck for the buck arose, but I waited to see the whole thing before I rushed to judgement. Enjoy!” Here’s a brief look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used for those still interested:

Scene One: August Ames, the fetching young lady featured on the front cover, was up first in a tight black dress in front of a classic car as she posed seductively. The other scenes were fairly tame and mundane though, my belief that the show was too short as it clocked in under 85 minutes making me think a fifth scene was to be included or perhaps a very lengthy BTS but as it stood, the movie earned a rating of Rent It, my status as a longtime supporter of Bonnie’s works on both sides of the camera remaining intact. In short, Busty Pin-Ups was hopefully a warmup to bigger and better things as Bonnie refreshes her memories of what fans want and incorporates her own ideas to provide better levels of fuck for the buck next time, a combination of things hampering this one more than a little bit for my tastes though I suggest you check it out yourselves to see what you think of it.
