Extra's: The first notable extra was the 10 minute long Behind the Scenes feature by Jason Silver. It started out with Dale DaBone goofing around and ended up with Gianna discussing her career with Jason. For the most part, I wished it were longer but it was fun to watch too. The next decent extra was the director's commentary which gave some interesting tidbits about the movie from Francois's point of view. This was the best commentary by a Sin City director to date, not stopping as much as the other ones I've listened to. There was also about ten minutes of interviews with Dasha, Shay Sweet, Destiny Summers, and Gianna giving some quirky factoids of little consequence. Following those were 4.5 minutes of bloopers, a pop shot compilation from the scenes, trailers, very short biographies (with limited filmographies) of the entire cast, a photogallery, double sided DVD cover, and some spam. If that group of extras didn't appeal to you, there's little else to be said.

Audio/Video Quality: Digital Daydreams was presented in non-anamorphic widescreen color with an aspect ratio of 1.85:1. The picture had a bit more grain than I prefer to see but I think it looked pretty good overall for a movie shot entirely at night. I saw no compression artifacts, just a bit of video noise that was probably due to the lighting. The audio was presented in 2.0 Dolby Digital English and it sounded pretty good with a fairly solid mix between the vocals and the music. The audio commentary was interesting but also better balanced this time; using both channels as opposed to previous efforts on the right side.

Body of Review: Few directors have been in porn as long as Francois Clousot. His recent work for Sin City proves once more that he has the kind of staying power that the fly by night types lack, and I have found his personal growth over the years to be encouraging in the way he depicts sex on camera. His latest work is a small feature called Digital Daydreams and it features Dee as a worn out coke whore with Dale DaBone following in her footsteps as rich Eric Masterson manipulates them for his own perverted needs. If you like features with high end technical values, this one actually had some decent story to go with pretty good sex. Here's a breakdown of the scenes by cast and action, noting that condoms were used several times here:

Scene One: Taylor Rain, one of the finest brunettes in porn these days for her energetic performances and ability to milk a nut like a champion, stripped to take on Billy Glide; fresh out of the shower. Her oral was fantastic, leading me to remember that Taylor is always at her best with her mouth full. After the oral, they screwed with abandon with her riding him as though she was trying to win the rodeo championship in Houston. He dropped his load onto her mouth and I liked the scene a lot.

Scene Two: Gianna, an attractive gal with a lean, all natural body and long, flowing hair, was up next in bed with muscular John West. This scene started off slowly but soon gained a modicum of momentum as she teased and pleased him. Her oral was less skilled than Taylors but I wouldn't have turned her down and John did his best to return the favor to her with some oral as well. It wasn't long before she was bouncing up and down on him like crazy before taking a large load to her mouth (closed mouth though). I hope to see more of her since this scene, while pleasant, was short and limited.

Scene Three: Destiny Summers, a gal new to porn but reasonably talented, did Eric Masterson inside a limousine after being portrayed as a hooker. Her oral was somewhat mechanical but he didn't mind as she wrapped her hand around his shaft and blew away. Sadly, the scene only had her blowing him and it ended way too soon for me to fully appreciate her oral skills.

Scene Four: Dee, the well known black porn performer, had the following scene on a couch with Dale DaBone. Initially, she took care of him orally, demonstrating that she was no slouch in the oral department even if she wasn't in Taylor's class. He reciprocated before donning a condom and giving her the hot beef injection. She looked darker skinned then previously (a dark tan maybe?) but she did manage to put more than a little energy into the works here as she has sometimes been known to do. There was definitely chemistry between them, whether it came from being paid or not remains to be seen though, and it ended with some PTM and a facial.

Scene Five: Dasha, the lovely Czech blonde that has returned to porn of late, and the lovely covergal/contract star Shay Sweet, were next up with Eric Masterson. I loved the leather outfits (although Shay, a hot Texan, needed a few workouts at the gym) as much as the way they double teamed him in the studio, but the oral and vaginal sex was well done and Dasha was clearly the better of the two gals this time. For the most part, both gals were infinitely doable but the skills of Dasha are tough to top, no matter what you may have heard by Vivid detractors.

Scene Six: Dee, still looking very good here with a collar and her birthday suit enhancing her performance, took on Chris Cannon on the couch. This scene was pretty good but still limited compared to some of the others, as Dee seemed to run out of energy a few times (maybe better editing could've fixed it?). She was vocal as he boned her pussy and didn't shy away from the facial yet it wasn't as well done as Dasha or Taylor had done earlier.

Summary: Digital Daydreams did not, as the front cover would suggest, star the lovely Shay Sweet, much to my dismay. It did have some interesting storylines and solid sex scenes but it could've made better use of director Francois Clousot's skills as well as those of the cast. In all, it was well worth a rating of Rent It or maybe even a bit higher but for all the fuck for the buck the release had, I was left wanting so much more than it offered. That said, the cast was attractive, the extras nicely done and the overall value pretty good so if you're in the market for a nice little diversion, check out Digital Daydreams.
