Audio/Video Quality: Ass Takers 2 was presented in the same 1.33:1 ratio full frame color it was shot in by directors Bridgette Kerkove and Pat Myne for Metro Interactive's FusXion line. The quality of the scenes varied more than a little bit at times but the colors were nicely accurate, the amount of grain minimal, and the lighting pretty solid although some of the camera angles weren't flattering to all of the women. The editing also seemed rushed in some cases but I think the overall quality of the visual aspects of the movie were favorable. The 2.0 Dolby Digital English audio was presented in the same minimal separation and dynamic range I'm used to but it wasn't much different than scores of other releases these days so I won't bag on it too hard.

Body of Review: Bridgette Kerkove and Pat Myne were once two of Metro Interactive's FusXion line of DVDs that I enjoyed so much. These were the high end gonzo productions that literally put Metro back on the map for me after they fell prey to budget cuts and other assorted internal problems. I never got to see many of them but more often than not, at least at first, they were really great stroke material. That said, Metro has taken to re-releasing various scenes of the line in compilations (though I wish they'd label them as such) with the latest being Ass Takers 2, using mostly Pat's scenes but a pick or two from Bridgette as well, with a strong emphasis on anal action. I like many of the performers on the compilation so I found this to be a solid selection for personal enjoyment, even if the label made a few mistakes. That said, here's a quick look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used and several genuine appearing creampies were in evidence:

Scene One: American Ass 2: Olivia O'Lovely, a fleshy brunette with wonderful curves and the kind of cock loving attitude you'd love to meet up with, was up first with Mark Ashley and Benjamin Bratt as director Pat Myne coaxed her on. While the voyeur aspect of his ongoing commentary appealed to me a few years back, I have grown out of enjoying it that much (put an audio commentary on the DVD next time), it didn't grate on my nerves too much. Scene Two: Assassin: "Mandy Bright, another talented hotty in the porn world for years, wore a red fishnet outfit as she danced at the top of the staircase. She had a butt plug with a tail attached stretching her out for the scene to come. After some more tease and masturbation, she took on Claudio Meloni, Jay Ashley, and Mickey G. on a couch. She did a lot of oral and straight sex but also a ton of anal sex with DP action. Scene Three: Ass Brand New 2: Cameron James, a gal with lightened hair and some nice curves, was one of the uncredited ladies on the DVD for no good reason. Scene Four: Ass Watcher 1: Kaylynn, "another hotty from this year's show (she even offered to buy me a drink, the sweety), showed off her long, lean body as she washed a car in tight shorts. I liked the look but I have come to appreciate Pat's vision of providing the gals in fishnets and other fancy lingerie so I was a little dejected until I saw her change into such an outfit when the car was finished (whew!). She put on a fishnet body stocking that really accentuated her curves and she began working on Lexington Steele's dick. Like Aria, she wasn't able to deep throat him, but she got him good and hard in short order, with the two boning in no time at all. Scene Six: Double Impact 2: "Selena Silver, a lean brunette from Australia that doesn't look nearly as old as her true age, started off the movie with the formulaic tease footage that Pat (and I) like so much. Her all natural body and willingness to do anything directors want have made her a minor favorite in the industry and fans will appreciate this scene a lot. Her partners this time were Manuel Ferrara and Steve Holmes, the tag team duo from overseas, and the oral action was her best asset as she took both of them into her stretchable mouth. Scene Seven: Juicy: "Bridgette Kerkove, the reigning Queen of anal sex, was up next. She pranced about in a pink outfit, garters and stockings that looked much like the one she wore on the front DVD cover (just a different color). Despite all the criticism this gal has endured over the years, she still has what it takes to get men off, either in person or by showing off her talents in movies. Guys that like meaty pussy lips will even appreciate her spread since they seem to have grown as fast as her implants. Her partner for the scene was the every-man porn stud, Mark Wood, a guy that gets the job done without the temperament of some of the pretty boys of porn. Scene Eight: Lethal Injections: Katja Kassin, my biggest reason for picking up this compilation, had a fresh look to herself and the neon red hair she used to wear (leading me to think that it was indeed shot in 2003 unlike many of the other scenes). She was in pink & black lingerie by the top of the glass banister as she sucked off Manuel Ferrara. There wasn't nearly enough tease here but she was in fine form as she enthusiastically blew him (deepthroated him too). Summary: Ass Takers 2 was better than I thought it would be given the amount of fuck for the buck and strength of the scenes chosen for the compilation. I have long appreciated Pat Myne's work as a director (he came in tied for second place as a director one year) and with a few caveats, I found all of the scenes here to be worth a look or two (or several in the cases of the better scenes). As such, I thought a rating of Recommended was appropriate thanks to the cast, technical values and sheer amount of footage included on the DVD. Pat's recent work at Third Degree has continued his evolution as a director too but it's always good to explore a director's roots, especially when they are so extensive and quality oriented.
