Audio/Video Quality: Belle’s School of Hard Knox was a selection of three scenes shot for the internet by the uncredited directors of Porn Pros in anamorphic widescreen. The lighting was not perfectly consistent but it was more plentiful than many other web to DVD companies offer, each of the scenes looking different from the other. There was no company watermark on the screen and the flesh tones were largely accurate even if some moments showed the cast being washed out, the camerawork best when kept on a tripod (the interview of the third scene). Otherwise, it was shaky at times, particularly in scene two where it was done in POV for the most part, with minimal editing. The aural components of the show likewise varied, the basic 2.0 Dolby Digital coding seemingly added on during post production but the 192 Kbps audio bit rate no different from most porn. The vocals were hollow at times and the generic musical piece was nothing out of the ordinary, some limited ambient sounds noticed but not overly distracting.

Body of Review: Porn Pros is a web based company based in Las Vegas that has produced some very interesting scenes, a lot of top stars working for them and their varied websites. While I have not seen their websites other than in passing when researching their DVD releases, it is clear they are willing to try new things. Their latest movie is called Belle’s School of Hard Knox, a selection of three scenes starring newcomer Belle Knox, a gal best known for being thrust in the limelight as a Duke University freshman as a “porn star” though she still has only a few mediocre scenes to her name released on DVD. Leaving aside the quality of her work and the nomenclature attached to it (“star”?!? not quite), the 18 year old brunette was initially defended by many in the jizz biz until she started representing a major porn pirate (look elsewhere for details), her public appearances certainly less worthy of her educational status than her credited response at school. I’ve seen some of her other work and found it strictly amateur level at best but there is certainly a market for 90 pound college freshmen having sex on camera no matter what their skill level might be, Belle admitting to only having had two male partners (3 females) in the past. Contrary to some of her haters, more power to her if she wants to embrace the “look at me, look at me” aspect of her need for attention discussed at length during the third scene’s interview, her 15 minutes of fame completely up to her and her future choices rather than those that would use her on either side of the raging debate that took place awhile back (some thinking she devalued their education by doing porn while attending Duke University, others applauding her right to make a few bucks fucking on the side as long as her grades were okay). While I wished the company would have credited the males and technical crew used for these three scenes, Belle was okay for those that like skinny brunettes with all natural bodies weighing in around 90 pounds so I rated this as a Rent It. In short, while true “star” status takes more than a few scenes and some public notoriety to earn, Belle’s School of Hard Knox was not as bad as I thought it would be going into it, Belle’s limited sexual skills almost certainly set to improve as she gains more experience in the industry.
