Audio/Video Quality: Rocco's Best Gang Bangs was presented in the usual 1.33:1 ratio full frame color as directed by a few directors, typically under Rocco's tutelage if he wasn't the credited director. The problem with some of the scenes was the technical limitations with a lot of crowding going on around the cameras that limited the lighting. This caused grain and video noise but also the need for a lot of choppy editing as the camera wasn't allowed (by the crowds of horned up guys) the best access to the action. Considering that the scenes were shot from as far back as 1995, the picture quality varied for other reasons too with compositional errors and other issues popping up too. Still, the DVD appeared to be mastered with some care and the overall type of sex allowed for the raw energy to take place and be conveyed fairly well so as long as you don't expect much on the technical matters, you'll be okay. The audio was presented in 2.0 Dolby Digital with Italian seeming to be the predominant language of the cast, particularly the older scenes. The audio was kind of weak but that's to be expected given the age of the source material and the limitations of working in large crowds.

Body of Review: Rocco Siffredi has been saying he will be quitting porn now for some time and as I watch many of his movies, you can definitely see him participating less on camera and relying on releasing compilations of past work instead of making as many movies as he used to. Lately, he's been seen in a television commercial (in Italy?) for potato chips so besides savoring all his "hard" earned money from his sorted porn past, he seems to be thriving like never before based at least partially on his worldwide notoriety. Well, today's review is of Rocco's Best Gang Bangs, a selection of his scenes from past movies including a heavy concentration on Never Say Never To Rocco (clocking in with four scenes) that probably weren't his "best" orgies but they were representative nonetheless. Here's a quick breakdown of them by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used and most of the male talent were amateurs:

Scene One: Never Say Never To Rocco: 1995: Leitizia Bisset, Perla Mazza, Rocco Siffredi, and the "Rocco Fun Club Fans" (a whole lot of guys), were up first in an orgy taking place at night. It initially started with Rocco making out in his car with one of the ladies but after they had stopped to park along a seemingly deserted roadway, a number of lurking men (and a woman) appeared to watch them. This led to the entire cast screwing though most of the extra men just got blowjobs and left facials behind as a result. If you're looking for something outside of the usual formulaic Rocco scene, this scene wasn't bad although I wanted to see a lot more action from them. The funny thing was, the scene continued into an underground kickboxing match (it was essentially a whole different scene) where Rocco brought his date to watch a match and ended up letting her become the main event as the guys pawed, sucked, and licked her all over with some screwing and mostly a bunch of perverts jerking off to her face.

Scene Two: Kelly's Way To Love: 2001: Claudia Jamsson, Monik, Kelly Stafford, Nacho Vidal, Kevin Long, Grosso, Marc, Loulou, Elibrissi Mendi, Sall Baba, Anthony Alain, Stephane Losson, Girard, Demirel Mikail, and Huyghues I. Marc, were up next as the gals started to rub and gyrate on the men in a large room appearing to be a set under construction. Nacho seemed to be in charge of the ladies as they were led over to various men in order to service them but the choppy editing made it tough to keep up with the action. Claudia was looking very nice with her ass in the air but again, the majority of action was oral in nature since the gals didn't seem to want a ton of dick tapping into them wantonly. There was more anal this time though and the messy facials were in big supply but it was a relatively short scene and even the gals licking up semen from the floor didn't help much.

Scene Three: Animal Trainer 3: 2000: Susanne, Vanessa, Leslie Taylor, Nacho Vidal, Carlos, Alberto Rey, Franco Roccaforte, Frank Gun, and David Perry, were up next in an abandoned building that looked like part of a war zone was the setting. The guys poured bottled water on the leading lady of the action and stripped off her clothes while whipping out their meaty members for servicing. Both gals looked fine with the blonde and brunette each appealing to a slightly different part of my libido. There was more penis plunging action this time with the anal taking primary preference and a lot of loads dumped on the gals as they kissed and licked one another. If they had been cleaned up a bit more, they'd have been great in domestically made porn although their rougher appearance seemed to be part of their appeal at times for their partners.

Scene Four: Never Say Never To Rocco: 1995: Monica Cancellieri, Perla Mazza, Rocco Siffredi, "Rocco Fun Club Fans" (a whole lot of guys), and The Black Brigade (a lot of black guys), were up next after Rocco takes the gals for a ride in his Toyota SUV to a large building made of concrete full of black men. The guys couldn't keep their hands off the ladies and they all started taking turns screwing and getting blowjobs by the hairy gals. Many of the men looked really low caliber and they were popping off in moments for the most part (like real guys, not porn guys, would do) but the camera work was truly claustrophobic and poorly handled; almost like a fan might shoot if given the chance. Still, there was a raw energy present that however poorly caught at the time, could not diminish the circus act sex interest factor of the show. As a side note, there were even DP's this time although I'd have to guess that oral was the dominant factor yet again.

Scene Five: Rocco's Way To Love: 2001: Kelly Stafford, Leslie Taylor, Ian Scott, Valentino, Christian, Jozo, Stewen, Vic, Tommy, Joseph, Junior, Joe, Martin, Samuel, Roger, Pete, Sandor, Gino, Istvan, Frank, James, Derrico, Joy, Attila, Simon, and Josh, were up next in a scene that started with Rocco, all dressed in a white suit, freed Kelly from a wrought iron gate at night after he pulled up in his car. He led her to a wooded area where a bunch of guys stood around jerking off in a large circle and she sucked many of them off while jerking off others. The lighting was largely handled by the headlights of the car and some candles placed on dungeon styled devices but I couldn't understand a word of the Italian they were speaking (like the previous scenes) and unless you're into "orgy oral" as the scenes were focusing on, there wouldn't be much to enjoy.

Scene Six: Never Say Never To Rocco: 1995: Monica Cancellieri, Perla Mazza, Rocco Siffredi, and the "Rocco Fun Club Fans", were up again in another night scene where Rocco pulls up, the gals service him orally, and a horde of perverts creep through the woods to join in. This scene was decidedly shorter in length and the action included some screwing with the oral but the editing was poorly handled and the limited amount of screwing going on weakened it more than the other technical values.

Scene Seven: Rocco's True Anal Stories 10: 1999: Suzane, Zenza Raggi, Frank Gun, and Nacho Vidal, were up next in an abandoned section of town when she (and her uncredited male partner) pulled over Nacho for having what appeared to be a nude woman in his car. It turned out to be a rubber blow up doll and Frank talked the police out of kicking their asses as well as getting her to do the other men. She was a chunky gal, built for comfort rather than speed, but this might add to the diversity factor for some of you as she took a dick in the ass as she blew the others (revolving partners at regular intervals). The scene ended with the usual pop shots but it wasn't anything special to me.

Scene Eight: Never Say Never To Rocco: 1995: Perla Mazza and the "Rocco Fun Club Fans" were up next in another scene that started with a kick boxing match and soon turned the crowd onto her sexual talents as they brought her into the ring. While she did give up some screwing action to the men, she was largely concentrating on the oral action of the scene here with perhaps 25 men all crowding around her. Most of them performed as well as under-sexed fans would, popping off in moments, but the use of slow motion photography and flood lights detracted me more than a little bit. Still, it almost looked spontaneous so even though she needed a weed whacker to trim that bush of hers,

Scene Nine: Dirty Anal Kelly In Rome 2: 2000: Kelly Stafford, Martina Mercedes, Sexy Luna, Robert Ribot, Silvio Evangelista, Remigio Zampa, Franco Roccaforte, and The Italian Battalion were up next as the scene started with an old, fat dude carting an attractive blonde (Kelly?) through the streets in a see through suitcase. The people he would pass by would stare and a crowd formed until they loaded her into a luggage compartment of a bus to reach their final destination. That was when a couple more gals joined in and the crowd formed lines around them to fuck and suck as various positions and in holes. They spoke some English this time and it was actually quite spontaneous though the gals were mechanical in how they handled the sex with all the men. There was a lot of anal, some DP footage, and some vaginal with oral too but the men looked mostly like fat, hairy tourists you're not likely to see in a porno. Sexually speaking, I guess it beat watching Roman Holiday but even with these cumswapping gals going at it for the entire duration of the scene, it got kind of old to me as a little bit of this kind of thing goes a long way in my book.

Scene Ten: Rocco's Fuckin' Funny: 2/20/2004: "Judy White, Alina/Sindy, Demi Cool, Sindy, Michael Chapman, Peter, Steve, Antonyo, Rudolf, Diesel, Joy, Nico, Atis, Nico Blade, Kevin, David, Denis, Geco, Ma Mandarin, Matthias, Lady Domper, and Leslie were up next in a large orgy scene. Keeping track of the cast wasn't easy but the good news is that all of the ladies were hot looking and willing to do whatever it took to get their partners off. There was some story between the scenes and much of it was very cute, nearly sidesplitting on occasion, but I'd have loved a feature where you could skip the story to get right down to the sex. There was a ton of oral, major amounts of straight sex and reams of anal with all the twists for your viewing pleasure this time and the scene went on forever. If you could only watch one orgy this year, this would be it! The orgy scene also had some side events where the women took care of some of the guys in the back rooms but I don't want to spoil it for you by giving you a laundry list as other reviewers (elsewhere) might. Wow!"

Summary: Rocco's Best Gang Bangs was as much a tribute to the older orgy scenes of Rocco as we're likely to get any time soon. Still, the technical and casting limitations shown on the scenes made me less than enthusiastic about jumping for joy here so I rated it as a Rent It as many of you may love it but I sense the majority of big Rocco fans will have already seen the footage and newcomers can do much better. The extras were so limited and there was no new sex taking place so it was a hit or miss proposition to say the least. In all, it wasn't the best work by Rocco but it did have a circus act appeal to it on some levels for the curious.
