Extra's: I really liked the 29 minute long Behind the Scenes feature by Jean-Michel Kossa. I especially liked the part where it was all in French (for the clueless; that'd be the entire thing!) and some day, I'd really like to see the translators provide a translated track for the extras. There were also three trailers, two Aids commercials, wickedly funny I might add; telling people to protect themselves via an electrical death in one and a KKK rally in the other. There was also a pro-condom commercial that was cute (and animated) employing the Terminator 2 policeman image with dildo arms (rather than the swords he used against Arnold and company). Lastly, there was a double sided DVD cover that was quite attractive on each side.

Audio/Video Quality: The Education of Claire was presented in the not so usual 1.85:1 ratio anamorphic widescreen. For the most part, it looked very solid with lots of detail and color accuracy to show for the enhanced process it was transferred with. There were some moments where the camera angles were not exactly complimentary and the editing might've been slightly tightened up but overall, this was excellent. The audio was presented in the usual 5.1 Dolby Digital Surround if you listened to the original French audio track and it sounded very crisp and clear for the most part. The separation between the channels and the dynamic range were great and I only wish domestic companies could provide such quality on a regular basis. The English, German, Italian, Spanish, and Cesky (Czech?), tracks were in 2.0 stereo with Dolby Digital encoding but none appeared to be anything special. The only track I was really qualified to listen to (given my limited foreign language skills) was the English track and the dubbing was kind of weak but I expected that to be the case and made allowances. For those who care, there were also subtitles in Portuguese, Romanian (Romana?), and what appeared to be Russian (EAAHNIKA). I wish English subtitles were on the Behind the Scenes feature but I'd be getting greedy, wouldn't I?

Body of Review: Marc Dorcel is well known in the porn world for providing some of the highest quality releases anywhere from his French production studio. Simply put, he manages to get some of the most attractive women in the loveliest places and make them work like they've never done before. While his stylish brand of porn does not always work for me, his latest release, The Education Of Claire, was a truly fine movie for getting off. It's no wonder to me that it's up for an AVN award for best picture given the quality of the scenes (well, except for the first, expository scene) and the cast of cuties on display was really fine. If you're looking for something a bit different to enjoy, you'd do well to check this one out. Here's a breakdown of the scenes by cast and action, noting that the cast weren't identified and a few guesses on my part were needed (mostly with the men though):

Scene One: Melanie, the attractive blond gal on the front DVD cover, had about the most boring scene I've seen in porn with Frank. Essentially, she just let him do whatever and didn't say a word, make a move, or moan at all. While I know it was made to set up the film, I felt obligated to point out how weak the opener was with Frank getting all of ten pumps in a few positions before it ended. Yawn!

Scene Two: Dorothy, a very attractive blonde with some seriously sweet curves, was up next in a lesbian scene with Melanie on a couch at a mansion after bathing her. They did the usual licking and rubbing of one another and it was very warm for this type of scene as Melanie's character was allowed to open up a little to the pleasures of the flesh.

Scene Three: Nikki, a hotty in a black PVC fetish outfit, took care of Dr. Love in a iron foundry while Melanie watched them go at it. Most of the sex was just the usual pumping away at one another but the gal was looking great here, much like she does in her Private movies. They did some anal for those who care (with the use of a condom of course) and she was an active participant in the scene, making it fun to watch.

Scene Four: Barbarella, a gal that I've seen in a lot of movies over the last few years, impressed me with her lean frame, dark hair, and very attractive face as both Micky and Choky took her on in the living room. They rubbed her the right way and she traded off between blowing each of them until they were impossibly hard for her. Her black dress stayed on while they took turns boning her and she seemed to love every minute, regardless of which hole they were tapping. Even with the anal she seemed to enjoy the scene and the ending DP and pop shot was very well done.

Scene Five: Dolores, another attractive brunette with a very lean body, was up next in the iron foundry again, with Ricardo. They had some chemistry with one another as he hammered away at her in various positions and her fetish top stayed on throughout the sex. Sadly, the scene got stuck in a mode and kept having them do the same old in and out which got boring after awhile. The anal was better and the ending pop shot as good as can be expected but for a scene that started off with such promise to fall short so quickly, I was bummed.

Scene Six: Melanie, this time blindfolded and wearing a leopard print dress (as seen on the front DVD cover), had a scene with Choky and Clark that could've been his cousin. They satisfied her thoroughly as they trained her further in the ways of pleasure; adding some measure of excitement to the movie after the last, weaker, scene. She blew them in turns and then allowed them to bone her as deeply as possible, trading positions and holes before getting around to the DP and facial. In all, it was a very good scene and made up for the initial scene she was in. Whew!

Scene Seven: Dolores and Maya were up next as they took care of Frank in a chair while Melanie masturbated. The trio did all that was expected as they warmed one another up and gave an air of heat to the scene. I detected no small measure of chemistry too with the gals (all three) seeming to get off on the action. The sex included anal and a facial that the gals shared on their faces at the end. Whew!

Scene Eight: Melanie, now fully trained in the arts of pleasure and love, took care of her gifted husband Frank, in their living room on a couch. The scene showed a lot of foreplay and playfulness not present in their initial outing, part of the reason for showing that first scene altogether, and they each explored one another's body like they really wanted to get their partner off. The entire scene was very well done and the best in terms of a real life, sexually advanced, couple; even if it wasn't the hottest scene of the bunch. I did find it funny that the characters would have him wear a condom while she had sex with strangers that didn't wear one but this is porn and I guess I have to give certain allowances because of it. In any case, she did anal here too and the orgasm shown for both of them was great.

Summary: The Education Of Claire showed me that Wicked Pictures made a wise choice when they signed a deal to domestically distribute Marc Dorcel's movies on DVD. The overall production qualities were solid and the performances by many of the finest women in foreign (or elsewhere) porn made it well worth a rating of Recommended. It wasn't the best I've seen from Dorcel's company but it was a whole lot of fun to enjoy as the cast did everything they could to make fans happy. I'm not sure if it'll win the award next month but I do know that it compares very favorably to the competition and deserves a shot based on everything I saw. I just hope that Wicked Pictures decides to add English subtitles to the BTS features in the future.
