Extras: The best extra was a 9.5 minute long Behind the Scenes feature by "Fraulein Fist" (an insider joke to be sure). The down side was that it focused almost exclusively on Sandra and Trinity's scene together with a tiny bit of Mia and Talon. It was funny watching Trinity try to piss in the metal bowl, knowing it would be edited, but it was well worth watching nonetheless. There was also a photogallery, trailers for shows like On Your Knees Bitch, Ass Wreckage 2, Taste Her Ass, and The Whore Next Door; as well as a double sided DVD cover.

Audio/Video Quality: Open For Anal #2 was presented in the usual 1.33:1 ratio full frame color as shot by director Kylie Ireland with the assistance of cameraman Eli Cross, for release by Platinum X Pictures. The lighting was better than average this time, reducing the amounts of grain and video noise seen as in some of their previous works. The composition of the shots was also pretty good although not particularly creative, enhancing the look of most of the women nicely enough. Otherwise, the DVD was mastered well enough and I saw no compression artifacts. The audio was presented in 2.0 Dolby Digital but the encoding signal was added in afterwards given the overall quality of the vocals. The vocals ranged from well handled to a bit too low at times, though in general, they were varied regarding the mix.

Body of Review: Kylie Ireland has long been a staple in porn, coming into the industry from her reportedly incredible stripping routine at the same time as another gal you might have heard of, Jenna Jameson, and moving up the pantheon of porn from the "good girl" next door to her recent transformation of wanton slut of nastiness (and I mean that in the nicest of ways) directing and starring in, gonzo porn for Platinum X Pictures. Now that she has moved on to other companies, it's only a matter of time before her backlog runs out at PXP so we have to enjoy what we can before that happens (who knows what her newer material will look like?!?). In any case, today's review is of Open For Anal #2, a show about anal sex with a number of attractive ladies opening up their backdoor for some fun in front of the camera. None of the scenes sucked and even the missing extras didn't kill this one for me so here's a look at those scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used at all:

Scene One: Barbara Summers, a very appealing bleach blonde in a red fishnet top, was up first as part of a gonzo scene where Steve Holmes was shooting her getting eaten out by Manuel Ferrara on a comfy black couch. Steve joined them as she dished out some fine oral with a fair amount of POV (point of view) camerawork taking place. She's more than just about looks though; she's also all about a sexual skill level too often missing in porn. She followed the basic formula nicely as she proceeded through to the anal and even did an active DP where she participated in bouncing on their rods as she moaned in pleasure. Was it fake? If you listen closely, you'll find more than a little evidence to suggest she was into the scene (and the men) as she barely whispered some comments in between the louder stuff. The scene lasted around a half hour, with a tendency to showcase the anal, DP, and taste testing before they rubbed out their wads onto her face. In general, it was a solid scene to start the show off nicely, though not her best work to date.

Scene Two: Sandra Romain, the brunette hotty known all over the world for the kind of hardcore sex she has in her scenes (with men or women too), played the dominant partner to redheaded Trinity Post, after a gay looking guy tossed a bound Trinity onto the bed (see the BTS feature for more info). Both wore black leather fetish attire and Trinity had a large metallic device spreading her asshole for further play. Sandra was no slacker either and took as good as she gave with Trinity pulling out even larger toys to impale her partner (each did a lot of taste testing by the way). There were times when the camera and lighting became noticeable and the ladies were sometimes coming across as though they were in a sexual contest of wills but in general, they contrasted nicely (Trinity's pale white skin versus Sandra's darker tone). It wasn't the most extreme lesbian scene I've watched of late but it had some heat worth checking out.

Scene Three: Kylie Ireland, the redheaded hotty director of the show, thankfully had a scene too. If you like women more than girls (like the flavor of the week types so many in porn stroke off to), you aren't going to get much better than Kylie since she manages to combine looks, skill, and sheer passion in what she does. In this scene, she left out a series of polaroids to entice Steve Holmes to follow the trail into her game room (initially on the pool table) where she was awaiting for him. They enjoyed some foreplay with one another and seemed to be honestly into the act more than average even before she sucked his cock and he worked over her breasts. She's in her sexual prime, and knows it, relishing such attention from a talented guy like Steve. I would have liked more tease but fans of couples getting right down to business will find this one worthy of more than a couple of loads if you catch my drift. It ended when she swallowed his load and continued to suck him off as the camera bounced around and faded to black.

Scene Five: Flower Tucci, a personal favorite performer of mine (which is why I took multiple pictures of her and her perfect ass in my 2006 Photo Essay), was up last in a surefire effort to close on a high note. She played a callgirl that impressed Steve Holmes as she walked in the door wearing a mink coat and fetish lingerie underneath it. Her oral skills aren't in question but they got the short end of the deal here since the scene moved on to them screwing heatedly in her pussy and ass. Her vocals alone were almost enough to coax out a load from me but it was the way in which she rode him that truly impressed. The waterworks were minimal this time but the sweaty duo did manage to bring it all home as well as I had expected, marking a fine scene to stroke off repeatedly to. Yum!

Summary: Open For Anal #2 was a fine selection of anal action and attractive women who seemed to enjoy it. That alone puts this one up in the Recommended category, and it could've been even higher if not for the minor technical flaws and missing extras advertised on the cover, but the levels of fuck for the buck, particularly anal fuck for the buck, showed why Kylie has successfully made the transition to director, even if she seems to rely on Eli's talents too much. As a fan of Kylie (according to her, I was the very first person to ask for her picture this year at the 2006 AEE Show in Las Vegas, before we struck up a lengthy conversation with studly John Strong), I was glad to see she hadn't retired from working in front of the camera and while many consider that she's strictly for the MILF lover nowadays, I'll always have a ready boner for her to play with.
