The Feature:
Today's review is for Wicked's latest DVD starring newcomer Becca, appropriately titled, "Basically Becca." Before I get into the review itself, let me say that I HATED the way this DVD was put together. There is way too much talking and nonsense going on. People buy adult DVDs for sex, not to hear what porn stars think about things. This was Juli Ashton's directorial debut, by the way.
Originally, I planned on using the "Kleenex Scale" to rate this DVD, but it would be an absolute waste of time. The sex on this DVD has very little momentum, and overall, wasn't very good. There is way too much mugging for the camera, and many unusual sex scenes. For instance, a guy has sex in the back seat of a cramped automobile. In another case, Becca introduces to an older couple at Hendonism III, and they have sex. Devinn Lane is in this movie, and doesn't even have a sex scene!
Honestly, Juli should stick to having sex in movies, not directing and producing them, because "Basically Becca" is a trainwreck.
Video:
The full-frame 1.33:1 presentation looks really good. Almost no artifacting/pixelation present in the picture. Flesh tones look as good as expected. Overall, I'm satisfied with the transfer.
Audio:
A 2.0 soundtrack presents all the excessive dialogue, cheesy music, moans, and thrusts that your sound system can handle. But honestly, are you really buying this DVD for the audio? Well, according to Wicked's tenacious pimping of Dolby Digital Surround Sound in the menus, you may very well be buying it for the terrific audio.
Menus:
Interactive menus filled with clips from the chapters as digitized porn music loops over and over again.
Extras:
"Photo Galleries", "Trailers", "Bonus Sex Scene with Lola", "Becca's first DP", "Juli talking sex with Becca", "Becca & Georgia talk about internet sex", "Juli's stats", "Becca's Stats", and "Sweet Georgia's Stats".
Final Thoughts:
Ugh, I did not like this DVD at all. Maybe for diehard fans of Juli Ashton maybe, but for people looking for porn to be porn (i.e. sex and very little dialogue) you should look elsewhere.
