Audio/Video Quality: Girl + Girl 9 was presented in the usual 1.33:1 ratio full frame color as originally shot by director Zora Banx and cameraman Frank Thring. The colors were accurate and there were few compression artifacts but some of the lighting was off and the camera angles weren't always as flattering to the gals as they could've been. Some of the problems were likely related to Frank getting a bit too involved with the action but some of it looked to be changes in the natural lighting used in a few scenes. The audio was presented in the usual stereo English but the gals all spoke some other language and even Zora's limited English (admittedly better than my nonexistent Hungarian) wasn't all that great. The music was generic and thankfully not turned up too loudly this time but the overall audio quality was about average.

Body of Review: It's been a long time since I reviewed Girl + Girl 5 and as a whole, the series wasn't a bad way to spend an afternoon since it typically had attractive, lean women who liked other women as much as I do. Since that time, I've heard some really good things about improvements to the series, even though it kept the basic format it has always had so I picked up Girl + Girl 9 in an attempt to see how far it's come in the last year. For the most part, it was still very much the same although the formula managed to merit some attention as it provided a host of nice looking gals that surpassed previous offerings more than a little bit in most cases. Here's a look at the lesbian antics of the movie by scene:

Scene One: Sandy and Brigitte, a couple of very attractive blondes (Brigitte was featured on the front DVD cover and Sandy was the gal displayed on the right hand side in the middle), started off this volume of the popular series in fine form. The gals were outside on a beautiful afternoon beside a large warehouse in the woods wearing close to nothing (and even that didn't stay on for long). Zora was tentatively looking to buy building materials but the only thing that took place was the gals causing me to build an erection. The sex was primarily oral and fingering until the end when a vibrator was deployed. By this point, the lovely Zora joined them and I thought they all worked well together. It was energetic as well as passionate; YUM!

Scene Two: Judy and Melanie, a couple of attractive brunettes also displayed on the front DVD cover (top and bottom on the right hand side), were the next lesbian couple to go at it; this time inside the warehouse. One of the trademarks of the series is to showcase lean, young hotties and these two naturally fit the bill just fine (and I do mean, FINE!). The tone of their bodies and overall demeanor at the action made me think they also enjoyed lesbian action with more licking and fingering as well as toy use taking place (they used toys more here than previously).

Scene Three: Gina P. and Jenny, a couple of pretty blondes that were very lean (too lean for my tastes though), were next up as Zora and Frank watched them go at it. This scene was in a wooded area beside a small marina and the dildo they initially worked into the scene came much earlier than the previous toys. The sex was similar otherwise and my biggest observation on this scene was that the gals seemed a lot less comfortable than the previous women at open displays of public (and pubic) affection. It wasn't a bad scene, just limited by either their inexperience or their lack of chemistry together.

Scene Four: Gina B. and Nicole, a nice contrast of blonde and brunette (brunette Nicole was the cuter of the two though), were touching each other in a public square when Zora went over to talk to them. The next thing you know, the gals all took off together and ended up in a small apartment together. Zora didn't participate this time and the scene was already well underway when Frank arrived but the bathtub fun was kind of interesting to watch. They used toys and tongues to get off (even using a bathroom brush at one point) but there really wasn't any connection between them that I could see. Maybe it was how the scene started off in the middle or maybe it was something else but it was a filler scene for me with mechanical moaning and action.

Scene Five: Angie and Bambi, yet another pair of moderately hot blondes with all natural (if limited) curves, were last up in a lesbian tryst in an office. The two secretaries handled the scene with mostly oral action but a large red dildo came out too and while it wasn't the best scene of the show, it was okay to watch a couple of times. If not for the repetitive moaning, I think I'd have liked it even more and like most of the other gals, some anal took place.

Summary: Girl + Girl 9 is still worth a rating of Rent It to me due in large part to the limited amount of fuck for the buck and few extras. While I liked the cast just fine in terms of looks, too many of them were going through the paces mechanically and my personal standards are set higher than average when it comes to looks over substance (your mileage will vary though). If the show had another scene, I'd have probably elevated the rating a notch but it would've taken even more to get higher than that as the heat quotient wavered too much for my tastes but check it out if you like gal on gal action since the industry isn't offering as much choice these days and this one wasn't bad.
