Audio/Video Quality: James Deen’s 7 Sins: Lust was presented in anamorphic widescreen as directed by James Deen for Evil Angel. The Director of Photography was Johnathan Taylor Thomas, the editor and musical scorer listed as Danny Wylde, both areas showing a lot of artistic touches from what I experienced. Those who like a lot of lighting and clearly defined sexual scenes will find this movie to be cut from a different cloth, my screen captures perhaps helping you see that this isn’t the same kind of porn most of us are used to watching over the last 20+ years. There was a company watermark on the lower right corner of the picture but it was unobtrusive to me, the other issues bothering me much more. The aural components were on the basic side too, the vocals a bit too low in most of the scenes because they emphasized the score by Danny, music used more often to set the mood before it was rapidly altered to suit the nature of the flick.

Body of Review: James Deen has been directing for Evil Angel for a short time now, the resulting movies showing a great deal of potential. His latest title for the company is called James Deen’s 7 Sins: Lust, the movie coming out the other day. The theme of the movie was clear enough, pretty much every porno has a degree of lust to it, though this time James centered on showing hotty Bailey Blue learn to appreciate increasingly heated sexual trysts. I have to give Deen some credit with regard to the entire series because he has taken a lot of chances, gone ahead and offered material that tweaks the edges of mainstream porn yet tends to avoid conventional, contemporary porn trappings all too well, I suspect the series as a whole will work better than some individual chapters of the endeavor.

The company described the movie like this: “In "James Deen's 7 Sins: LUST," the director/stud continues his artistic conceptual porn series with a psychosexual vision starring Bailey Blue. In a dark alley, James manhandles the cute, natural-bodied blonde, fucking her asshole against a cinder block wall. He hoods her head in her skirt and roughly pounds her into the pavement. Scene One: Bailey Blue, the tattooed blond hotty featured on the front cover, was up first with James Deen, the man tapping her ass at night in a deserted area. Upon my first viewing, I admit to not liking this short tryst at all because it seemed like he was raping her but the closer I looked, the more it became evident that she was not only a willing participant but she was getting off too. It ended when he plastered her face with semen, abandoning her as she gathered her thoughts.

Scene Two: Bailey Blue, next up in a black thong and skimpy top, jumped into bed with studly Derrick Pierce, the man calling her into the hotel room bed. A quick edit then showed them doing it in doggy style, her all natural boobs bouncing to the rhythm of his thrusting cock, the light smile she gave just before joining him showing she was into it too. This was all done by touch and body language, Bailey getting increasingly frisky as she rubbed bulging crotches and whipped out turgid peckers to suck. Scene Four: Bailey Blue, then enjoying some strawberries for breakfast, ended it all (so to speak) by continuing the themes from the previous fantasy endeavor in the darkened environment by slowing Dick Chibbles, Sigurd Jarlson, Tommy Pistol, Derrick Pierce, and James Deen, some penetrative action included though not a focal point at all. It was not quite surreal though the filters of the cameras seemed to make it look that way, the most notable pop shots to her yummy ass before the ultimate shot to her head.

Summary: James Deen’s 7 Sins: Lust by director James Deen for Evil Angel was a well done, artistic endeavor that took time to build up sexual tension after jumping in head first in such a manner that it could easily be called edgy, to say the least. As a showcase for the talents of lovely Bailey Blue, it offered up a completely different experience to what I’m used to but as a nod to allowing the audience to make up its own mind as to what is going on at any given moment, I couldn’t help but like it enough to merit a rating of Recommended. Don’t get me wrong, if you are looking for a standard stroke flick of the type the raincoater crowd prefers, forget this one altogether but if you’re okay with something less obvious and more tied to your mental facilities, this would be a good choice to watch with others. In short, James Deen’s 7 Sins: Lust will appeal to a select audience of people, much like the other volumes in the series so far but it offered up a darker kind of blending of reality and fantasy than the industry has spent much time on in many years, making it worth watching from start to finish rather than as a series of barely connected scenes so check it out.
