Audio/Video Quality: Alexis Texas Superstar was presented in an anamorphic widescreen color with an aspect ratio of about 1.78:1 as shot by director Axel Braun for release by Hustler Video using the MPEG-2 codec. The sexual portions were largely handled in a straightforward manner with reasonable lighting that limited the grain, video noise, and limited the compression artifacts but their introduction made me think this was quickly chugged out and lacked any hint of quality control. The composition of the camera angles was hit or miss for me since there only appeared to be a single camera deployed this time and the editing was often not conducive to making the ladies look their very best yet Axel did seem to provide a competent display of the ladies here. The bitrate itself was often in the mid 3.5 Mbps area this time, helping make the production decent looking if not fully realizing the entire disc as well as could be expected. The audio was presented in the usual 2.0 Dolby Digital stereo English using the 192 Kbps bitrate expected of the movie. There was no separation of the vocals, limited dynamic range, and it generally sounded like the audio was recorded from the microphone attached to the camera.

Body of Review: Axel Braun is best known as a pornographic director of parodies for Hustler Video but he has been shooting all sorts of couples porn for years now. That said, his latest release is called Alexis Texas Superstar, a title some might confuse with her work for Elegant Angel so many adored awhile back. This time, Axel shot a mere four scenes but each of them focused on Alexis Texas and a few of them included hotties like Misty Stone and Andy San Dimas rather than just the usual meat puppets. The company website described the movie like this: "That's right, Alexis Texas with her famous bouncing ass of perfection is a superstar in every sense of the word. Alexis gets and gives the kind of fucking you didn't think was possible. A sultry seductress, Alexis Texas knows that her round, luscious ass and hot bod makes her the ultimate superstar! I initially expected this to be a compilation of her limited work for Hustler but it was a nice surprise to find out the scenes were new, even if they appeared rushed in most ways. In short, Alexis Texas Superstar was nothing outstanding as a showcase for the lovely, award winning young lady but despite limited replay value, it is always pleasing to see Alexis Texas strut her stuff and shake that fine Texas ass of hers so give it a look before buying.
